Idiots see Moeen Ali picking wickets and think Rohit could repeat it, Moeen has been much better bowler than Rohit and Jadeja combined. It is disheartening to see India playing test cricket without a specialist spinner.

Whole bowling unit ia rookie unit in terms of experience who are still trying to find feet. Ishant despite this one innings wonder still average over 35 at a poor strike rate. This is hardly called a bowling unit. This 4 bowler unit will not take 20 wickets 95% of the time. Rotation of this bowling unit is very hard. If you don't trust Jadd and Dhoni as batsmen, how do you trust Rohit sharma as a batsman? Ashwin is a much better player. He provides an additional bowling option. Ashwin, Jadeja, dhoni, Bhuvan euivalent to two batsmen. There you got your 7 front line batsmen.

There you got your 7 front line batsmen.[/quote'] Let me explain something here.....during the days when we had fab 4 we had 4 bowlers them being bhajji,kumble,(one of the combination of the seamers who played for us in the last few years). Right now we have jadeja as the 4th bowler who is a 5th bowler at best but his batting is not good enough to be a 6 or a 7'with binny or is the other way round his batting looked ok but the captain has no confidence in him to be the 5th bowler.... So solution is we either play 4 full time bowlers + jadeja or 6 full time batsman +wk+4 full time bowlers. Now here is the issue with option 1 our top order has 2 players already struggling....one of them is not able to convert so tell me what makes sense. Now you may argue rohit is not the solution fair enough but who is the back up middle order player.......so to keep you happy would you agree with the combo of we hade gambhir instead of rohit? :hmmm:
