While I agree, dropping him is not a good idea, but after this series I don't think this guy is future of Indian batting. At least I am losing hopes on him.

He may score a Nagpur like 100 and the world would settle again. His true test is in Oz now. They would eat him up if he goes with technique. Having said that, Wasim made an excellent point today. He said, Indian media should stop hyping him as the next Sachin as maybe it's getting to him. He also stated that Sachin at 25 would never ever have gotten out like this.

However, this is an eye opener to people you had started putting him in league of Sachin and Dravid. I don't recall any long series where either of these two perfomed so poorly for such long stretch.

Drop Jaddu and get a seamer in say Umesh if Ishant is still injured . What is the use of bringing someone who can at beast score a 20 runs.. We still need to take 20 wickets.

adi B Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 kohli will defo play again so its futile to argue on that point,he'll fail again because he is totally messed up and broad and anderson(two pros) will stick to that off stump line throughtout the day.he doesnt have a lot of time to work on his weakness so best for him to leave everything rather than tentatively poking.even a 35 from him would be great. i think had there been a better replacement,i would drop him without thinking again but then nohit is useless,naman might be given a try. best for kohli to sought out his technique before the aus series after this series gets done

Raina was vilified for the failure against the same English side.. but not kohli.... Infact Raina contributed much more than current kohli ... He deserved to be dropped.
