We need to work on some aspects : Some of our batsmen need to learn to play the pull and hook shots well and keep them down on the ground. Need to go with 3 seamers + 1 seamer AR + 1 spinner. Seamers have to work on bowling short balls, yorkers and bowling at the death. Pace is an important factor. We need spinners who can bowl well on flat surfaces. Captain should attack and look for wickets in the middle overs, instead of bringing in spinners and let the game drift like he did in NZ, SA. In SC, our spinners will do some damage by keeping runs down and taking wickets. In those conditions, they won't be as effective and it will be tougher for our batsmen to make up for it as there will be a bit more for seamers. These are the lessons I learned from SA, NZ ODIs. Hope Indian team also learned from them too.

We just won an A tour series in Australia. We will be in the country for close to 3 months by the time the WC starts.

Winning the A-series is a very good positive. Hope performers from that series will be part of world cup team. Staying for long period in aus was counter-productive in 1992. We had a similar tour in 92 and the players didn't even come back to india after the series, but everyone was dead tired and we played very poor cricket. I fear something similar this time around as well. 4 tests and a triangular series and almost same eleven playing both tests and odi can be counter productive.
