RedFever Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 The four Kalyan youths recruited by the Islamic State (ISIS) are said to have contacted their families, expressing a wish to be rescued and brought back home. The youths include 23-year-old Arif Majeed, who until now was believed to have been killed while fighting for ISIS in Syria. "All four are in touch with their families here and sought facilitation of their rescue and return. However, only Arif's family has contacted the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) office in Mumbai and sought the intervention of the Centre to bring him back," a senior intelligence officer told TOI. Arif had reportedly called his father, Ejaz Majeed, and claimed to have fled to Turkey after fighting for ISIS for a few months. As for the other Kalyan youths—Aman Tandel, Fahad Shaikh and Sahim Tanki—sources told TOI that even they are believed to have conveyed to their respective families their "desperation" to be rescued from the violent war being fought by the ISIS. Their location is said to be somewhere in Iraq. Though a senior intelligence official said the government is willing to take a sympathetic view on the matter, he conceded that it was virtually impossible to negotiate the return of a person associated with a globally proscribed outfit. "Besides, who do we talk to about the return of the Kalyan youth still in the ISIS zone...Who will go there to seek them out?" wondered the official. Another complication is that even if the Kalyan youths are located, they would have to be arrested and tried for having been associated with a terrorist organization proscribed by the United Nations. The four are said to have joined the ISIS in May this year after being radicalized and then flown to Iraq, along with a group of pilgrims. According to sources, 10-12 Indian youths are said to have been recruited by ISIS from India and abroad. Though the government has been maintaining that ISIS has no major impact on Indian Muslims, the fact that radicalization and recruitment by the terror outfit figures as a key agenda point for the DGP/IGP meet on November 29 and 30, indicates that the government is keen to nip in the bud any attempts by it to radicalize Indian youth. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Kalyan-youths-fighting-for-ISIS-want-to-return-home/articleshow/45278494.cms

dial_100 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 ^ And you want to bring in all the terrorist fundamentalism in the country with it? They didn't go there for peace keeping. Whats wrong with people here? We have seen people taking inspirations from Kasab and afjal guru. We have many illiterate idiots in this country. You guys mean that we should allow our citizens to go out, kill people against the state policy, that too for a movement that is extremely religious? If we have so much love for humanity then try and help few families of Pakistan or Bangladesh, offer them free medical facility or do anything but ever think of bringing these insane people back. Why cant we spend our energy and resources to help many people here in India. They could have opted to fight against terrorism in India and help the country. Who did they help by the way?
