Lack of Bhuvan is a big minus. Also spinning options are poor for us. Ball doesnt swing in Adelaide. For swing, you need conditions. In Australia, you need to be consistently in right areas to be effective. Ball swings a bit in Perth due to wind and also in Gabba when its overcast.

If u take wins from these teams away we have similar to the level of Srl Pak or Nzl which is our level in test cricket ATM.We also play far more tests than these teams away from home which affects our w/l ratio

Dhoni is a tried and tested failure under non SC conditions. A new captain would surely need some time to adapt to these conditions. What Dhoni could not do over the past four years, we can't expect a new captain to achieve on day one.

Mitch was struggling against Karn Sharma. So getting them AO under 500 was possible which is a great achievement for 1st test in batting track. Unlucky for Kohli - Saha was dumb to miss it. I see huge potential in Karn will be a threat this tour in spin friendly situations. I think if Rohit fails getting Umesh/Bhuvi also not a bad idea in his place. Especially bhuvi as he can bat better than rohit Sharma and Jadeja overseas You won't get more help for spin than this.Gabba and MCG will be even worse.SCG might be good

Shami was getting it to swing early on. Ryan Harris has consistently swung it here for the past few years. Anderson got beautiful swing here back in 2010/11. Shami couldn't control it. Watch how Ryan Harris bowls with the new ball.

Shami was getting it to swing early on. in 2007 hussey predicted there will be no swing and the match pretty much turned out that way. there may be slight bit of help in the first 10 overs and there may be exceptions since swing is dependent on so many variables.but as a rule one does not expect it to swing on that ground.

Much-much better than a 50 purpose of which is neither to save match nor to win match but just to show courage (pun intended). Maniac Bhai put very aptly - Fighting it out with a target and with a purpose. Should be allowed to captain in all four test matches.

DHOBI is not in the right frame of mind as he will be focussed on Mudgal report, CSK getting banned, another enquiry, his BCCI Baap Srini in trouble etc. Beśt for him to continue faking the injury for the whole series...
