You should give rope to someone who atleast looks like getting runs. Dhawan for example, even though he got out with low scores in both the innings, he was timing the ball nicely in the middle of the bat . With Rohit, he simply looked clueless and someone who does not seem like getting runs. In a flat pitch like Adelaide he was constantly getting beaten around off stump in the 1st innings and in the 2nd one he was like a popcorn on a hot pan against Lyon. If that is the state in Adelaide, imagine what in store for him in Brisbane. Give him full series..play him all matches, he will not score runs. He does not look like scoring runs.

Now going back to Rohit-Here is a thing,Even on the flattest pitches on earth scoring 2 200's within a year is no mean feat....It takes consistent hitting,temperament and skill level to accomplish something like that....People will say Corey Anderson and Afridi have records too or even our very own Yusuf Pathan has 2 brethtaking centureis,but yes they are hacks because a hack will come off once in a while and score a max of a 100 but 200 is something else and flat track is not an excuse. As I said we have invested in Rohit and even though a bit late,he came off in one format...will be foolish to dump him after an inconsistent run over 7 test matches.....Hell Suresh Raina played 17 tests and was given a pretty consistent run...Yuvraj singh played a mammoth 40 tests-again 2 guys who were backed ahead of other consistent performers based on talent and what they did in LOI's.

Obviously you are mixing apples and oranges here. Sharma scoring 2 double tons in LOI's has nothing to do with overseas test cricket. He is a FTB and a fantastic one at that. Probably greatest FTB India produced after Sehwag and that speaks a lot about him. But lets face it he clearly struggles when there is bit of seam and swing. I was expecting him to be successful in Australia atleast because he got a good pull shot but what I saw in 1st test dissapointed me.

It is up to him now what he wants. In anyways, even if he does not make a good test player, I will be his fan because watching him bat is entertainment. BS. Rohit averages 27 in away matches , but others are way better and average close to 40s except maybe Dhawan. Rohit just does not have the temperament to play test cricket. He is a bottler and his brainfarts will cost the team dear.
