I hope he can still prove himself in Sydney Test, we are losing this series, might as well give him one more Test giving him the benefit of doubt for a horrible debut/brainfart. If he fails Sydney, send him to A-tours. Or the only other option is play Raina (horror! Raina in Tests! horror!) and send KL Rahul to A-tours straight away. Raina and Rohit are both PROVEN failures in Test level. Is Bhuvi fit? Not sure if (only for Sydney - stop-gap) Bhuvi can be played at #6 instead of KL Rahul/Raina/Rohit.

Pathetic to say the least, particularly when he brain-froze twice in the first innings... Somebody needs to talk to him

Johnson is not surprising. What is surprising - is the shot selection after two brainfarts in first innings! Being late on the shot when you're new at the crease (and that too MJ's pace) - happens to great batsmen too.

Yup, but given we have picked him, I'd give him one more match and a load of advice... not some regular sh*t like Play your natural game... That is clearly not working for him... More like be cautious, time the ball, no cross batted shots, leave bouncers etc

His pull shot was not the pull shot of a solid back foot player. He was rolling the wrists gently against 140 plus k ball...Even worst timing would get the ball square of the wicket.. He was awfully late that ball went to slips. He is not a finished article temperamentally and technically yet. M VIjay despite having bad run in the beginning of his career overseas he was not jerky .

It was only on his 2nd tour to SA last year that he showed considerable improvement in his defensive technique.
