KL Rahul is serious class - Dale Steyn

"KL Rahul is, in my opinion, a man destined to play for India. He hasn't quite scored the runs he would have liked this year, but I've seen a few batsmen in my career and he is serious class," Steyn wrote in his column for the Times of India . Cannot be evaluated based on Aus tour. That will be too harsh to make him play against Rhino, MJ and Hazelwood in Aus pitches on debut. Now that he is selected, give him a decent two full series after this Aus tour, and lets see if he can measure up, or he can be sent back to Domestics.

I believe it's important to give talented players exposure to the highest level early on and not for first time when they are 25, 26 and can't change technique which worked to bully Ranji koomars. Good stuff. :nice: He was most deserving of the 3 options regardless. Picked fair and square.
