BK can play as one of the 4 bowlers in ODIs. Just keep thngs tight, and go at <5 RPO. That's his job. In tests, wickets are imp in addition to containmen, and he has to add pace and zip to make that happen. A very sound Test bat as well.

I mean after 10 overs there's not much there for a bowler like him who relies on swing. He's a good swing bowler no doubt but not suitable for Australia. Ball swings least in Aus and Sydney was even worse even new ball didn't swing. He is a limited bowler. Very good in certain conditions. End of story.
Cricketics Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Give Bhuvi some time. He has ability to be one of the best int he world. And I really mean it. Especially in ODI'S he can be no. 1 bowler easily since we play lot of Odi's. Also he will be our leading wicket taker(seamer) soon in test cricket. People will remember him like Kumble for test matches, wicket taker and crucial bowler to win us games.

His performance vs Australia vs very good please don't go by average alone he destroyed their top order whe needed in mohali .

But Shami and Yadav are impressive in home tests more than control bowlers I think. Remember vs England and WI. Rare for Indian pace bowlers to be doing more than control bowling. There's plenty of time to work on flaws before next series. Hope he keeps getting game time though. Less than 50 FC matches, playing with red ball after turning 17, kept out of side for 1 or 2 years. He needs gametime and experience to learn. Severly lacking in that. Steyn and all the Pak greats have done more than what is expected of quick bowlers in SC. Often it is reverse they have gotten many of their wickets from. Yadav is not as consitent as them line/length wise but keep backing him cause he has pace and gets it to reverse just lacks accuracy. Hopefully with more game time and experience he learns. Off field he can work on action there's plenty of time before next series and he doesn't have to be out of squad to work on action.
