Why is Kohli still at No.3 in ICC ranking? He should be No.1 or atleast No.2 by now.
Who cares about players' ranking. As long as Kohli continues performing the way he is I would be happy even if he doesn't show up in Top 100 in rankings  Test team ranking is the only ranking which matters IMO coz for odis you have World Cup and individual player rankings doesn't mean much in a team sport.

nobody likes the idea of him opening in ODIs? he would be a fine ODI opener. anyway, as good as he is, he has done **** all in test cricket. batting average of 33. scoring a hundred on the flattest pitch in australia doesn't really clear up the doubts, although he batted quite well at perth prior to that. i just hope the team realises that he isn't cut out to bat number 3 in test cricket.

Similarly Rohit will never be successful unless he sorts out his temperament .. but that does not keep selectors from giving him heaps of chances.. why the partiality with Mukund??
Rohit is from Mumbai thats why :orderorder:

But our Mahaan Selector is from Chennai .. and Mukund too plays for CSK and Chennai Ranji side.. How Mumbaikar gets priority even if there is regional bias??

Mukund is joke. Dont understand how he scores so many runs in FC cricket.

Even Dhoni has a bad technique.. does that mean he is a joke too .. He scores heavily in FC games give him credit for that ... i agree he didnot have a good start to his intl. career but doesnot mean he is a joke.

Yes. He is. Dhoni is not a specialist batsmen and at test level, Dhoni wont find a place in any team just as a specialist batsman bar Bangladesh or Zimbabwe.

In Tests Dhoni wouldn't be anywhere near the team as a batsman alone. But in shorter formats he's a shoe-in and probably one of the first names on the team sheet.

Why are we bringing Mukund into this discussion? Its Rohit and Virat who must be compared. If Rohit performs half as much as Kohli,he could put pressure on the dutiful parent to hang his boots, instead the guy throws away every chance he gets:facepalm:

I've asked that question after watching several players over the years.
all tamil nadu players are suspect ,they play on really flat tracks at Chepauk and pile on huge runs and look completely like fish out of water when the ball starts to do something.

Dude, I realize you have something against Kohli or just love Raina so much that you hate all his competitors. Kohli played a great knock in perth before scoring that century on the so called flattest wicket. Everyone failed but he came in unde pressure when he was about to be dropped and scored a brilliant knock at perth and than that century. He has been terrific in his last 4-5 innings in tests. The initial two tests he failed but performed liek the played who can OWN the test world.
