vijay50 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Sad to see Pujara almost descended to the level of Rohit Sharma in tests on overseas tours and getting dropped. He did the county stint, but it did not help him much in Australia. Also he is not playing ODIs or T20s. If he plays ODIs, atleast he can get some form back and take that confidence to tests, just like how Dravid and Tendu used to do.Because he is playing tests only, hacks like Rohit ,Raina and Dhawan were preferred in tests based on their ODI or T20 exploits. His situation is same as Laxman, but with more knee problems and unable to rotate strike freely (just like Manjrekar). Can he come back strongly? What is the way forward for him to atleast average 45 outside India. How can he get his mojo back and score freely like Rahane or Virat?
GolGappe Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 We will be playing at home for next 2 years. Pujara will be piling on the mountain of runs.
nevada Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I think he should work on improving his fitness. He looked slow in dealing with the incoming ball. Being fitter means lighter on the feet and better reflexes. A long county stint is his best bet to rediscover his former high scoring self.
vijay50 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 We will be playing at home for next 2 years. Pujara will be piling on the mountain of runs. That is not a solution!!!!!!
kosingh Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 That is not a solution!!!!!! Umm. Kissing kohli's ass?
Sidhoni Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 We will be playing at home for next 2 years. Pujara will be piling on the mountain of runs. Exactly. For 2 years he will be known as HTB.
Vijy Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 That is not a solution!!!!!! It's not the solution, but it is the answer.
Texan Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 He should bat at 6. Keep Rohit Sharma at 3 for the next 2 Tests at least and let Pujara play at 6.
Vijy Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 He should bat at 6. Keep Rohit Sharma at 3 for the next 2 Tests at least and let Pujara play at 6. Yes, if we're going to hang someone, might as well give them a long rope.
Topslip Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 He should bat at 6. Keep Rohit Sharma at 3 for the next 2 Tests at least and let Pujara play at 6. I hope we see the last of Nohit. Insufferable fool.
Topslip Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Yes' date=' if we're going to hang someone, might as well give them a long rope.[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Vijy Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I hope we see the last of Nohit. Insufferable fool. He's a git. But, the point is: 92 runs in this test, over nearly 240 balls. Agreed that he didn't look convincing, but the best way is to give him a few tests, enjoy his failures and then move on. if he is booted now, all the Rohit-fappers, er ... fans.. will start moaning and crying.
panesarv Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 He'll be fine. He has the talent. Just hit a rough patch.
zaqw222222 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Need to get back to ranji and score some big hundreds to get his confidence and shot making strokes back before the next test series.
G_B_ Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Need to get back to ranji and score some big hundreds to get his confidence and shot making strokes back before the next test series. +1
Pagalpanti Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 It'll be interesting to see if he picks IPL over county stint this summer.
sscomp32 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Need to get back to ranji and score some big hundreds to get his confidence and shot making strokes back before the next test series. He already is, playing Saurashtra's next match. http://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/tour-over-pujara-set-to-play-in-next-ranji-match/
sscomp32 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Dude I dont think Pujara will get chances because of Rohit Sharma. Selecters will give more chances to rohit sharma and will neglect pujara because rohit sharma is favoriate of Kholi ' date=' Dhoni and Selecters . I dont know the why batsmen like kohli like Rohit Sharma very much[/quote'] DUDE, Was Sydney Test 2015 the First test match you ever watched? :cantstop:
