Thats the problem with lot of ethnic minority comedians in the North American (and the UK) in general. They rip on their own race. It is hilarious at first. But when you do the same thing again and again you become one dimensional and it gets boring. Another one is that Margaret Cho. At first it was hilarious. But now its just pathetic to see her repeat the same thing about her korean mother. One message out there to ethnic minority comedians. Dont be bogged down by your race religion etc. Diversify.

Indians are the most rascist against their fellow Indians. To be honest I am yet to see a white guy being rascist for the amount of time I lived in UK. But 90% of Asian (read Indian) people in UK are rascist. This absolutely beats wisdom. I can go ahead and share numerous experiences but lets leave it at that.
jalebi_bhai Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Ever since his Outsourced show, Peters has gotten progressively less funny. I don't mind his racial humor, he has a go at everybody in equal measure. The problem is, racial humor becomes stale really quick. Ditto with observational comedy.

It will be funny to somebody brought up in western countries. Some of the material is regular offensive stuff catered for certain tastes, so you have to filter out some of the stuff in stand-up comedy..And remember this comedy not real news or somebody having such opinions..so ..don't get offended if it's not catering to your sense of humor and sensibilities. You will LOL if he's making fun of some other ethnic group..so when he is making fun of your ethnic group...don't take it literally!

People laugh n tht is the purpose I don't like too much imitations of the act of having sex , few of the bomb jokes terrorism jokes ... I wonder if this guy was speaking the same stuff in Hindi, would we find it funny or that funny...probably no.

During his show in Dubai, he was fooling around while wearing the local head-dressing gear on stage. His people told him to stop, otherwise somebody was gonna get hurt real bad :giggle:

As for what he said, Firstly, yes parts of India smell, no point in feeling bad about it. Secondly, water is better than having bits of paper stick to you. And thirdly, when the men holding hands are so sure of themselves, the joke is actually on the one being unnecessarily uncomfortable. So none of it was as bad as you are making it out to be.

Him being Indian, he has experiences and content which relate to this Indian audience. Plus he became famous because of it, like MSD, don't want to change a winning formula. I haven't liked anything he's put out since he became mainstream, but there is still an fanbase out there
