bowl_out Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 If Rahane does well here, he is surely opening with Rohit going forward... Need to rotate Dhawan and Biryani at 4 to see who does better
vijay50 Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Basically they ask the player out to "fake" an injury. Come on.. they are running all the countries.. can't they run a player. Yeah, thats it. Injuries can happen in training also. Ask Rohit Sharma or Saha who missed several matches.
vvvslaxman Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Bad thinking... We have 2 more matches to try anybody new if anything... Can't play somebody has hasn't even played in Australia this summer and hope he will do better than Dhawan When did Rayudu play in Australia? You think everybody played in Australia before world cup? Not necessary. Ojha has toured here before. That is enough. In 2 matches our current players will become Sachin Tendulkar/Brian Lara? Given enough proof that they are rubbish.
tweaker Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Dhawan has wasted all the chances,he should be replaced immediately now before the wc

Ojha has neither been in the ODI scheme of things in recent times nor has he been tested in any other format playing for India recently... Good enough to decide he won't make the cut so late for the WC
Temujin Khaghan Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 is there not 1 moron who could also bowl a bit in addition to batting?
asterix Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 What about Replacement for Kohli? I've noticed that if they not allow duck-face to stay with Kohli, his performance dips....
Temujin Khaghan Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I've noticed that if they not allow duck-face to stay with Kohli' date=' his performance dips....[/quote'] dips means deepika padukone? :--D

Good enough to decide he won't make the cut so late for the WC He won't make the cut. He should have made the cut even for WI tour. Infact there was debate whether to include him or Saha for Tests. He has done enough to get the attention. When Rayudu with zero reason getting picked up for one day squad why not Ojha.
bowl_out Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 ^^ Should haves are always discussed... Ojha should have been tried... Tiwary should have been tried.... Uthappa should have been tried... What do you do now is the question.

Bigg Brother Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Wanted to see akhtar's face when Aakash Chopra on discussing bounce in wc that"Mujhe sirf mcg aur Perth par khele Jane wale match ki chinta hai,Adelaide to hum sambhal lenge"!!!:cool:
zep1706 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 It is a no brainer really. You have a guy who has batted so well in overseas tests as an opener and he does not get a look, Instead we have a hack who can neither score runs nor occupy the crease. Get Vijay in. I don't mind if he starts slowly as long as we keep wickets in hand. In Australia you don't need to score 300+ every time. 260-270 are often good scores there. With two new balls it is important to have someone who can play out the first 10 overs.
Sooda Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 ^In theory youre right but Vijay has had many ODI oppos and not delivered. Maybe there is the option of opening with Rohit and Rahane and playing Dhawan lower down the order... even 4 with VK at 3...?
SLICKR392 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 This just highly obnoxious! Can't last a ****ing over

When was the last time he played an ODI? Almost 2 years ago. At that time nobody thought he would be this successful in overseas tests. It is nothing but stupidity to drop a guy who is in good form and play an absolute hack like Dhawan.
