Or perhaps he was just too skinny, this is not uncommon for young cricketers in domestic matches. I remember a match during my college days when one of our team mates got hit on the head and collapsed, as we watched in horror. At the hospital, they found he had a problem in the brain (some cyst or something) and so the injury proved to be fatal. There is a high possibility that fatalities in cricket happen due to an undiagnosed medical condition.

Iconoclast Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 If you suffer a blow to the chest at a very specific time in the cardiac cycle it can trigger an arrhythmia. Very rare but have heard of a couple of cases in kids baseball here in America.
