In this quarter final Dhoni did everything to get Ponting out. He still scored a century but the effort was there to get his wicket. No defensive field just letting him milk a single. Finally I believe it was Sehwag that caught him when I believe he tried to reverse sweep.

I think its more: Attacking captaincy = Forcing the opposition to make mistakes Defensive captaincy = Waiting for the opposition to make mistakes I will take the former any day of the week.
