Probably in 90s, cricket was seen as this hope/inspiration for people and when India didnt do well, it was seen as a reflection of the failure of Indian society. I know people who used to blame corruption and other ills when India lost a game. :cantstop: Its not like that anymore. Probably, cricket and particularly World Cup would mean more than just a game for a country like Bangladesh or even Pakistan which is struggling with terror/sectarian attacks and doesnt have cricket played at home.

They were put in their place and in the most perfect manner. Glad the desi people are finally starting to realize and this is where I agree with MTC that things are starting to change for good.

Chalks Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I've had a chance to calm down, and considering everything semi final was a good result for this team. This was a weak World Cup. The two best teams of a very ordinary bunch have made the final.
