velu Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 what speeds did Sandeep Sharma bowl today? 135 to 140 .. effortless bowling
vvvslaxman Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 with new ball in swinging conditions he is definitely one of the top 3 we have. He can swing both ways so he introduces an element of uncertainty in batsman's mind. We have decent pool of fast bowling. Wish they had given more chance to Kuldeep as we need a good pool of spinners as well.
HippoSucks Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 He bowled a nice, late inswinging delivery IIRC which I think Akram did well.
express bowling Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 what speeds did Sandeep Sharma bowl today? 126 k to 137 k.
fineleg Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 135 to 140 .. effortless bowling 135-140? (Sandeep doesnt touch 140 right? unless speed gun error?) Above poster says 126-137. Hmmm...
Cricketics Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 let him first play over 100 odi games man than we can atleast try to rate him It's thread like these which will get bumped by people after little bad performance. I hope the dude gets to play for India and perform well, but Wasim you know was in his own league. Not many have come out to be as good as him.
Ironhide Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 135-140? (Sandeep doesnt touch 140 right? unless speed gun error?) Above poster says 126-137. Hmmm... Sandeep sharma bowls 132-140 KPH, usually he hits 133-137 KPH range but has bowled few deliveries at 140, 141 KPH but not above that. Sandeep has increased his pace by 10KPH from IPL 2014 to IPL 2015, he is just 21 years of age now, so should improve his speed or skills in future. But even at his current speed with good swing he should make the Indian squad atleast, specially when few other bowlers are suffering from injuries and are not upto their best.
PBN Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 i think sandeep is around 130km/h on average (+/- 4 ) having seen him bowl in the longer versions of the game. This is just 2-3 over spell in T20. No need for comparisons to Wasim lol

No need for comparisons to Wasim lol The reason for slow bowling in Ranji trophy is overuse of fast bowlers, since the advent of green grasslands as pitches in Ranji matches, spinners are not getting many overs and fast bowlers are being used all day like Donkeys. In his last domestic mtach, Varun Aaron was bowling decent reverse swing at 137-142 KPH in his 19th over for fecks sake !!
yoda Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I am surprised this guy hasn't gotten a chance yet to play for the national team. Definitely better than the trundlers who frequently debut for the Indian team.
