CricketBuffOne Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 BD is getting better day-by-day...if they keep playing like this, they will soon shed the tag of minnow. Well done boys!
vvvslaxman Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Some of their core players have experience of 8+ years. They made debut before Virat Kohli. So high time they deliver something even if it is against an average national side.
horizonspeaks Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Last year almost the same Bangladesh team lost to HK and Afghanistan at home (both at multi-lateral tournaments). They actually had 10+ matches lost at home at one stage, before the Zimbabwe series. But the turn-around was spectacular. The bad about this team is that they don't really have any mystery/leg spinners. Those help against lower ranked teams. The good thing is confidence. A lot of times, confidence alone can move you forward despite other issues.
Gollum Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 BD is starting to look like SL of early/mid 90s...they seems to have sense of purpose more than ever before. Excellent observation. I actually think they are among the top 6 times in SC conditions. If only they get a bit mentally stronger they can run deep in a major ICC tourney in Asia in the coming future.
swatpulla Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 More to do with Pakistan being minnow-level rubbish. But still, Banglos can hope to win more often than before.
vvvslaxman Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 It took freaking 16 years for them to win more ODIs.. A test level we have to wait and see.
Guldozer Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I think it's more to do with a totally rubbish Pakistan side. But credit where it's due, they played well. Though I think test matches should be a walk in the park for Pakistan with the likes of Misbah and Younis.
NareshK Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Bangladesh has improved a lot. They look a much better side. :nice:
CoverDrive Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 definitely an improving side. this shows that if there is public support and passion for the sport over time you can improve. they are a good ODI side and will regularly challenge top teams. next step would be winning in tests
shakib_hero Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 There is no rise of Bangladesh. They are still minnows. That makes Pakistan super-minnows. Nepal, Fiji, Uganda standard.
mishra Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Bongs have definitely improved and are consistent too. In world cup they beat England in a crucial game. Lost games against established decent odi sides only. Buts thats about it. Zimbos or Irish would have given a better fight than crappy Pakistani side
Temujin Khaghan Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 There is no rise of Bangladesh. They are still minnows. be large hearted for a change .. :cantstop:
SLICKR392 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Pak handing them a phainty :hysterical: Yeah, phainty after being humiliated to the core for the last 1 month. Phainty it seems.
Marut Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Now this is the Bangladesh we know. Normal services resumed.
shakib_hero Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Well played Pakistan. Back to the drawing board for us.
Donal Cozzie Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Should congratulate sunny_ji on Ban's recent ODI successes. Been a long road but he stuck through it
jalebi_bhai Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Well played Pakistan. Back to the drawing board for us. Nothing to feel disheartened about. Part of the learning curve or as Msd calls it, process.
