Shivaji bhonsle Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 India team for Sri Lanka Tests: Kohli,Dhawan,Vijay,Rahane,KL Rahul,Ashwin,Ishant,Mishra,Aaron,Harbhajan,Pujara,Bhuvneshwar,Rohit,Saha,Umesh
retired_hurt Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Happy for Mishra. Deserved a chance. But I am really worried about the paucity of quality spinners in domestic circuit
G_B_ Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 along expected lines.... Karn was facing issues with injury? but its the team i expected. No surprised there.
sourab10forever Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 MY XI Rahul Dhawan Pujara Kholi Rahane Saha Amit Ashwin Yadav Bhuvi Aaron Shami still not out of injury?
coffee_rules Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 MY XI Rahul Dhawan Pujara Kholi Rahane Saha Amit Ashwin Yadav Bhuvi Aaron Shami still not out of injury? No VeeJay?:whack:
sensible-indian Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I am satisfied with this squad. Just hoping Mishra gets a game.
adi B Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I like the squad, srl batting has a big weakness against leg spin it seems, mishra might get picked ahead of bhajji.Kohli will play 3 pacers and 2 spinners and trust ashwin to bat as a proper #7
adi B Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Id play with Dhawan Mooli Chepu Kohli Rahane Saha Ashwin Mishra Booby Yadav Aaron
sourab10forever Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 No VeeJay?:whack: Yay sorry forgot him:--D So vijay in for dhawan.
The Realist Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Depressing that the same old are endlessly recycled. Mid 2015 and still picking the dart thrower and the belly. Future looks bleak if this is all there is to look forward to.
mishra Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 :woot: Allways thought If it wasnt MSD, leggie Mishra should be part of team.
SLICKR392 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Dhawan Vijay Rahul Kohli Rahane & the obvious rest,
India-KXIP fan Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Dhawan is invaluable in SC with the quick rate he plays at and high average. However for long term benefit away from home maybe this should be the side. Cause if you have someone sitting out they play Ranji then, which is just a little above gully level cricket :winky: Vijay Rahul Pujara Kohli Rahane Rohit Saha Ashwin Mishra Aaron Umesh 12th man: Dhawan (for greater good in long run) No need for 5 bowlers because: 1. Spinners will bowl majority of overs, 2 spinners can bowl 50 each even if they have to. 5 bowlers is better in conditions where seamers bowl majority as they tire quicker. 2. Bhaji and Ashwin are both off spinners....nit like alot of variety is there in 5th. In Aus series, Jaddu was fast spinner, Ojha was flighter, Ashwin was offie. Here not as much variety offered by 5th bowler. 3. Stronger batting, obviously... 4. In SC Dhoni was pretty good with 45 average, Saha unproven, if SL pile on runs it will put team under huge pressure Rahul is really talented. On the other hand if you want to fark thinking about future and YOLO, then Dhawan for Rahul. Plays fast, excellent in SC so far. Perfect to have in a team that wants to win. Modern teams do play quite fast.
sensible-indian Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Dhawan can't play quality swing or spin. But he can score fast in all pitches that he somehow survives. He ain't a future prospect in tests but can work for now.
gakgupta Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 where is ojha.....In current form, he is way ahead of Bhajji
X-Factor Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I am satisfied with this squad. Just hoping Mishra gets a game. He should play, Yasir troubled the Lankans big time, and hat must be one of the reason why he is pi cked.
kruiser Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Good team selection except Bhajji - was not impressed with his bowling in Zimbabwe. Will be interesting to see who opens..
