G_B_ Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 A few months ago I was travelling from Delhi to LKO on a Indigo flight and I had a front row seat. The flight was completely full (apart from 2-3 seats) and then very quietly, without any fuss in walked Dr. Abdul Kalam - with no security or other followers. I guess 2 assistants had already come in along with other passengers so they sat with him just 2 seats away from me. It was Indigo so there was no Business Class either. He sat there without any fuss and for most of the time worked on some papers with his assistants. And then when the flight was about to land he took out time to talk to the flight attendant who had served him food during the flight and also gave autographs to lots of people. That is called class and dignity. :hatsoff:

Instead he travelled extensively within India talking to and interacting with people (especially students). He was the very few public personalities who were so singularly devoted to the the development of India.
