Top that with the lies where a mother projects her daughter as her sister. A husband who has no clue about his wife's life. Then there are multiple wives and husbands. You are bound to get bamboozzled. As case is unfolding things are getting more and more complex. Sheena’s skeletal remains were recovered by police from Maharashtra’s Raigad district, 110 km from Mumbai. Police arrested 43-year-old Indrani, wife of former Star India CEO Peter Mukerjea, on Tuesday for allegedly killing Sheena, whom she had passed off as her sister for more than a decade. Sheena’s relationship with Rahul, Peter Mukerjea’s son from his earlier marriage, could be a motive for the crime, police said. On Wednesday night, police quizzed Rahul in Mumbai in connection with the murder. The complex web of lies and deceit started to unravel after Mumbai Police arrested Indrani’s driver Shyam Manav Manohar Rai, who confessed to killing Sheena along with Indrani and disposing of the body. Indrani, the daughter of a well-known businessman of Guwahati, was married twice earlier before she tied the knot with Peter Mukerjea in 2002. Her earlier husbands include Khanna and Siddharth Das from Tripura. Das is believed to be Sheena’s biological father. Indrani also has a son, Mikhail, who lives in Guwahati with his ailing maternal grandparents. She had passed off Mikhail as a brother. Murder most foul Mumbai Police commissioner Rakesh Maria told reporters that Khanna was present in the car when Indrani allegedly strangled Sheena on April 24, 2012. The body was allegedly burnt and disposed of in a forested area of Raigad. Rai, who was Indrani’s driver for 10 years, was allegedly fired after the murder. Rahul, who dropped off Sheena when she went to meet Indrani on the fateful day, filed a complaint with police two days after she went missing but her remains were discovered only on May 23. Both Rahul and Mikhail have said Indrani persistently claimed Sheena was in the US for her studies and did not want to be disturbed. Three days after the murder, Rahul is said to have received text messages from Sheena’s mobile number that stated she was breaking off the relationship. Officials, requesting anonymity, said Rahul and Sheena were seeing each other for more than a year, an affair which Indrani did not approve of. Police said they will re-create the crime allegedly executed by Indrani and her driver on April 23, 2012. The reason for this, officials said, is that investigators will get a wider angle about the events that transpired when the heinous crime was committed. Sheena’s brother Mikhail told media in Guwahati he and his sibling were born out of wedlock but declined to reveal the identity of their father. His statement came amid reports that Sheena and Peter's son Rahul through his earlier marriage had been dating each other and Indrani was opposed to it. Police have claimed that former Star India CEO Peter Mukherjea's wife Indrani was present at the site in Raigad district where Sheena was killed in 2012. A shocked Peter Mukherjea said he had believed that the deceased was Indrani's sister and not her daughter while Mikhail said Sheena was the daughter and not the sister of Indrani. Intriguing claims came to light that Indrani had introduced her daughter and son to people as sister and brother. After the murder, she is also said to have claimed that Sheena had gone to the US for higher studies. Indrani was arrested by Khar Police on Tuesday night over her alleged role in the murder of Sheena in 2012. Peter said he would cooperate with investigators in the probe. "I have never experienced anything like this before. The news I am getting, the kind of crime that has been committed, I would have never expected. "Whatever help, information, police need, I am happy to help them with that. I would be absolutely clear and straight with them and cooperate," he said. "I don't understand at all with regard to my wife... Sheena Bora is her sister, I believed all these years, and now I am being told that she was her daughter. Whom I thought was her brother, is now her son from an earlier marriage, which I was not aware of. I was aware of one marriage and not so many others. So, now there are number of things that are appearing to me which are completely new to me," he said. A police officer, who is privy to the probe, told PTI on condition of anonymity that "The driver of Indrani has told police that it was Indrani who killed Sheena and was present at the murder spot." He, however, said it was still not clear whether the plan was to kill Sheena, 24, in Raigad or any other place. According to Maria, on August 21, Khar police had arrested Indrani's driver in connection with an Arms Act case, adding he confessed to the murder and was taken to the murder spot. Mumbai police also summoned Peter's brother Gautam Mukerjea. Indrani was produced before Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate court, which remanded her in police custody till August 31. Speaking in Guwahati, Mikhail said he had not heard from his sister since February 2012 and whenever he inquired about her with his mother she used to say Sheena was in the US. "There was no contact till 2015. Till yesterday, I did not have any clue... where she was. There was no contact. Till last September, she, Indrani Mukerjea, came here. Then also I asked her... where is my sister... And only yesterday I came to know, from news channels that she has passed away... murder case..." Mikhail said Sheena had gone to Mumbai alone since she was doing a job there. On a question about Indrani claiming that Sheena was her sister, he said "I have nothing to state. Because a son to a mother, a daughter to a mother, it can be biologically proved. I don't have to say anything about that. Because she is my mom, after all. And she has given me birth. I don't have to prove that. A DNA report can easily prove that." On the arrest of his mother and subsequent turns in the case, he said, "I want justice, that's it. Because she is my elder sister. When the culprit is Salman or Indrani or other high profile then there is no shaming but when the culprit are Rohatk boys , or the guy that supposed to harass american woman , or Sarabjeet , then name and shame them. even though in most high profile cases evidence is much against culprits but they suddenly remember fair journalism. Apparently Indrani Mukherjea siphoned off a lot of investors' money from INX media with benami production companies. Many of those were in Sheena Bora's name. Perhaps she refused to cooperate or tried blackmailing Indrani which was the trigger point. Just my theory after joining the dots. Baap bada na bhaiya sabse bada rupaiya

According to India Today she was born out of wedlock from her relationship with a teacher in college named Chirag when Indrani was just a teenager. Apparently Mikhail told this to police.

This is the reason why Indrani wanted Sheena to move back to Guwahati. It came to breaking point in UK where Peter probably told Indrani that he would choose Sheena. Indrani rushed back to India. Sanjeev Khanna helped because if Peter broke off relationship with Indrani his daughter Vidhie would be affected. Indrani and Sanjeev probably tried to convince Sheena to move back to Guwahati and get out of Peter's life. Sheena probably refused and thus was killed. I read this in some comment section, and :hatsoff: to the imagination ...
