I don't think there is place for negi in the team with yuvraj and jadeja. Unless they are injured. We should stick to pandya.

never tried in ipl and very less in ranji.. so forget it.. wouldn't call him allrounder..  No one even wants to try stuff in INTL level

But he is better than Dhawan in terms of bowling.

Dhawan was banned from bowling due to suspect action after SA series.

Actually, Pandey bowls very well. I have seen him bowl medium pace in domestics and he is not the worst bowler.

if Pandey had to play it had to be in the top order , hes not a big hitter and certainly not a lower order batsmen for T20s . so the only option was to pick him ahead of Dhawan as an opener or Rahane's spot . Marginal call imo .

is that his fault that he wasnt picked before. He was the first India batsman to score a T20 100 back in 2009.

Rahane is a misfit selection.(i m guessing he is there as back-up opener, then he shouldnt play in any other position).

Yuvraj - well he is in the squad, so might as well try him again

Negi - should definitely play and given opportunity with bat and ball

Next two t20i shud be a toss up between Yuvi vs Negi based on batting and bowling performances

He was never preferred over someone like a Rahane let alone Kohli. He was always seen as an injury replacement for them.

PS : Calling everyone 'fakepans' or something like that doesn't put you in good light. I've been seeing this from you often lately. Take this as a caveat.

Pandey is definatly >> dhoni as far as batting goes. Pandey is not as good a player as rahane kohli or rohit and that's the reason why he did not get into the team.
