Here the the pitch, Looks really really dry. Dhoni wud have called from australia 10-15 days back not to water it. 

I wud make one change Make Hardik Pandya bat at 3 n give him proper time at wkt and get in bhajji or negi in place of Rahane.

Reason- I really want Pandya in confidence specially after seeing yuvraj struggle against pace in last match. U need someone in lower order in confidence to take the attack to opp and change the game. I wud prefer negi but there are already yuvi n jadeja to left armer so bhajji can b added and he can bat. N if our team needs extra batsman to bat 20 over well there is something wrong

It can prove out to be a a two way thing

Giving such a bowler helpful to opp who have inexp bowling line up gives them also an advantage and can put our batting in prob.

Team looks weak on paper. Dhawan, Rahane and Yuvraj Singh is like playing with 8 men.

From the squad,

Dhawan, Rohit, Pandya, Yuvi, Raina, Dhoni, Negi, Jadeja, Ashwin, Bumrah and Nehra 

a. If SL can field a young squad, why can't Ind play both Pandya and Negi 

b. Pandya at 3 and Yuvi at 4 would give them the opportunity to bat longer in prep for the WT20

Dhoni has already said there won't be a change in the batting order. Both Pandya and Negi should play all the remaining matches so that they get some confidence going into WT20.

Pitch looks black, so, it isn't dry but seems to have a lot of moisture. Won't be good for batting anyway.

No point making rahane bat any below than 1or2.

 

Also before a Wc game if they gud give bhajji also a few games, u never know with injuries. N bhajji is someone who takes a lil time to get in groove and needs confidence under his belt.

Negi will replace whom? hope not Pandya because as much as I don't want to be on the Pandya hype train just as yet......give the guy a fair enough rope.

Is Negi good enough to replace Yuvi with the bat....don't think so.....replacing an unknown player with a top order bat is a disaster....so as much as Rahane has not made any strides in this format....stick with him as we already have a fragile top order...unless bringing in Pandey for Rahane.

It was a very poor decision not to select Pandey in the world cup squad. He is our future in the middle order, and would've been an excellent backup player for Yuvraj. I've said it many a times that Rahane is not a LOI player, he just suck the life out of the team.

As for OP is concerned,  I would consider trying Negi instead of Pandya seeing the pitch is dry. I would open with Rahane and Dhawan, Rohit can come one down.

@viper he is good but the problem is he is never tried in IPL and very less in ranji.

Even stats are ordinary.but i've heard Gambhir talk about his bowling.Maybe KKR should try his bowling skills in a match or two.
