Do you think so? I think 90% of Govt. jobs , 90% of tech jobs (especially today since software in most industries have already been developed). Teaching job is redundant since almost everything can be learnt online. Much of the education itself is redundant. So, if you are a student, chances are that you are studying worthless stuff. Today, the stock markets are rigged (by printing n lending money for free by central banks), especially in the developed world. That makes many financial planners, fund managers, finance MBAs worthless.

So, are you doing something..... Worthwhile, ...something useful for the world?

Some professions do have some worth for the world...like if u are a surgeon, or a movie director, an actor or a taxi driver (yes, a taxi driver is doing useful work) or a house wife who is cooking food or looking after her kids

So, if this is correct and if most jobs are indeed worthless, are you into one of these worthless jobs? And does it come with some inner dissatisfaction somewhere deep inside?

Try to learn a job which you can say is a necessity, something like Plumbing, Electrician avoid stuff to do with IT and relatively modern jobs or make sure you learn a practical trade so you can always have that option open.

The jobs you listed in first post are not redundant - just that today's makeup - 80% of employees in an org dont function efficiently, 20% function very efficient. Out of the 80% - it is 50-50 in terms of average and below average.

how about pizza takeaways becoming redundant as below type of vending machines become common

This machine should not be tolerated in India. We want our food properly cooked and hand made !

I looked everywhere, but couldn't find an online laboratory course in Biochemistry.  Excuse me while I go teach it this afternoon.  Of course, it is all redundant because all that my students are going to be able to do is learn techniques and research methods that are applied only in useless fields like bio-medicine, pharmaceuticals and agricultural biotechnology.

do you not think that most teachers will agree (if they are being honest) that the content they are teaching can be easily learnt on the internet (without much effort to search also)?

(I am saying'most' , not 'every')

Working on 5G, where IOT , mm-wave antennas are in the works for ultra high speed wireless, will have a lot of machines connected and talking to each other. Your car can tell you that the brake pads are worn out and can schedule an appt with the mechanic on it's own ! Exciting times ahead. No there is no s/w  or communication saturation. We will always evolve and find new things to get used to.
