Why in the world is Yuvi not bowling??

To be honest Pandya's 2 fours that eh got hit were flukes from BD batsmen

Top edge and over and outside edge to 4

I think Pandya did bowl well

IDK what yuvi is offering this team at the moment sad part pandey was not even in the squad

true ,two were top edges and even in the final over ,rahim's scoop was lucky as it hit the top of handle and just scraped past dhoni.pandya should have got shakib much earlier had ashwin taken the catch, our fielding was atrocious yesterday and we should have won the game by 20 runs at least if not for dropped catches.

Coming to the yuvi topic,I think msd is reluctant to use yuvi as he is nowadays bowling at least 2 hit me balls per over but still he could be used against right handers on gripping pitches and he has a knack of picking important wkts.I am pretty sure he'll bowl an over or two against Maxwell lol

Still don't trust Pandya's bowling. As for Yuvi, without his bowling he is pretty much wasting a spot these days. He is not half the batsman he once was, a few overs from him could have compensated for that to some extent. Hope he finds his old form back for a game or two.

yeah yuvi is a better option in the middle overs on turning pitches ,even yesterday he should have given 1-2 extra overs to yuvi or raina instead of pandya because it was obvious the bangladeshi batsmen were gonna target pandya.

Yuvi has to be sent at 4 over raina I believe,he has shown intentions of going hard on the ball since the asia cup ,raina is better of as a finisher with quick 15-20 runs which cant do from ball 1

The only logic I can understand is that something happened after Asia Cup between Dhoni and UV. Dhoni is not in favour of having UV in the team but there is some external pressure to play him. That's why Dhoni is not utilising him fully. He is batting below Raina. Yesterday he can @ #7. Also not getting atleast one over in the middle.
That's Dhoni's way of sending messages to selectors.

IMO UV, Nehra etc. shouldn't be in T20 team. They're beyond their shelf life. Yes, UV has contributed a lot to Indian cricket but that doesn't means him to be in the T20 team. He can play ODIs till he retires.

If at all UV is in the team he needs to play ahead of Raina and he needs some time to settle (Although in T20, you don't get any time to settle).

:argh:  Do you moonlight as a script writer for Saas-bahu soap operas?

Everyone wants to speculate and bash Dhoni, assuming they know better.  Is it possible that it could be something straight-forward and non-gossipy that  Dhoni doesn't have that much confidence in his bowling at the moment in a crunch situation?  Maybe he's not in top bowling rhythm and they are not coming out that nicely out of the hand in practice?  Or maybe its just a judgement call he took based on the conditions, or maybe because bangladesh batsmen are brought up against spin and he decides that the odds were not in favor.

No, it has to be san-sani bullshit - either he doesn't like Yuvi, or Dhoni's stupid, etc etc.

Rant over.

Ok, but in my above post I'm actually not bashing Dhoni. I can understand his predicament of having UV in the team even when he doesn't wants him.

I don't think he will compromise the teams chances at the risk of retaining UV

maybe in practice they (Dhoni & management) probably see Yuvraj not bowling accurately consistently, one loose bowl too many.

At least with Pandya, even though he bowls quite a few loose ones per over, he maintains good pace and has a mean bouncer, hence provides that wicket taking moment.

Example in yesterday's game in one of Panya's over he was unlucky the bangla batsmen edge twice in a row, on other days it could have resulted in wickets.
