On flat Ozzie pitches he gets bowling but why not on turners

I personally think Dhoni single handedly lost the NZ game for us ..by not using Raina and Yuvi....and now he nearly made the same mistake against Pak??

With exp people loose mind??

How many times kohli will bail him out??

Now it's time for India to get over Dhoni atleast as a captain.....enough of stupidity

Ashwin or yuvi could have been smashed in the end overs. Pandya was a safer option.

Pakistanis, especially Hafeez and Malik are good players of spin bowling when they try to slog.

Pandya creamed for 10 runs per over. He was targeted by batsman. if not pandya then UV will also be targetted. I think, dhoni is doing right with options he has two fasters, pandya, ashwin, jadega and raina for 2 hours.

You can not go wrong with this combination but the issue is all the other teams know that this are the bowlders and they did thier home work. NZ did well against us. Pak has no brain or tactics so dont count them. See how bangladesi were playing as they excatly know how to tackel each bowler effectively. they did thier homework well. You cann not take the same team all the time, you have to do minor changes like adding extra spinner or changing your fast bowler or new batsman. this surprise factor will send a question mark in everybody's mind. 20% change in any field wont change the whole equation. 1 or 2 changes are required in major tournaments . But dhoni always tried the same formula which almost cost us Bangladesh match.

MAy b dhoni sees yuvraj not having too much confidence in his bowling

its strange that yuvraj singh post 2011wc didnt bowl much in domestic or either ipl as well and that may be a reason for less control . M sure team mgnt notice such things in net.

Dhoni isnt punjab or his ipl sides captain to stop him from bowling there, N at the end of the day he is kind of a no regular bowler who can only bowl well consistently with match practice. M sure he ll be used but may at some particular situation where captain might feel he can deilver on given day

Yuvraj is a waste of space in this tourney. If he has a bit of shame, he would do the Indian team a favor and fake an injury. It's disgusting to watch Yuvraj when we have likes of Pandey and Kedar Jadhav. Sad part is we have nobody to replace him as Rahane is even a worse replacement

If Yuvraj is not being used as a bowler bring in either another bowler (like Negi) or bring in another specialist batsmen (like Rahnae). I dont understand why Yuvraj has bowled like 2 overs over the last 2 tournaments.

BD always had a left handed batsman as commented multiple times post game, bowling yuvi meant he would have brought the ball into them, now imagine if his length was off he could have got hammered. I am no expert but that's my logic maybe others could correct me.

I am finding it strange that Yuvraj  was bowling on the green tops in Bangladesh and is not getting a single over on square turners.

Even Raina has bowled just 1 over per match  in two of the three matches on turning tracks whereas he bowled multiple overs per match on the green-tops  in Bangladesh.

And Pandya is getting  3 over spells here.

As far as I remember, the plan by the team management was to share the 5th bowler's slot among Pandya, Raina and Yuvraj based on the pitches on offer.

First try him in middle overs the overs, He was one of the leading wiccket takers in 2011 WC , how come he is not even bowling a single ball/

BD were 75+ in first 10 overs. yes there was turn but yuvi bringing the ball into sakib or somuya could have been a gamble specially when square boundaries were just 70 odd meters. after 14th over dhoni went to his specialist bowler , in my view there just wasnt an opportunity to bring on yuvi. yes last over with 2 right handers he could have tossed it to him but that would have been an even bigger gamble.

also its unfair to set current expectations based on what happened 5yrs n befoee cancer fighback. 07 he hit 36 in an over. cant expect him to do the same againat aussies on sunday.

I think after Ashwin's quota was full then he could had been given 1 over . But it all depends on his fitness and whether he doing practice of bowling or not , I think there are reasons he is not getting ball , may be with fitness

i disagree. ashwin had just got sakib, runs needed and ball remaining was never a problem, dhoni had to goto his top bowlers as the need was to get wickets.

The only logic for today was there was a left hander at the crease all the time.Even after Shakib got out,Soumya Sarkar came in.He should have definitely bowled vs Pak.Raina or Yuvi should have bowled 2 out of the 3 overs of Pandya.
