I will not comment whether you have to quit captaincy, but

1. For with-standing the extreme pressure and keeping the Indias streak of being undefeated against Pakistan for last 9 years in ODI and T20 WC.

2. For having the crappiest bowling attack in the world, but still helps India to reach SF, Finals or win the cup.

3. Having the best win-loss ratio for Indian captain (ODI and T20s) over several years and improving Indias overall win loss record.

4. Help achieving billions of Indians dream of winning several cups.

5. Staying calm under extreme pressure.

6. For being likeable by most captains and players around the world.

You deserve more. We will see how the new wicketkeeper for India will perform in coming years, now that you have retired.

You still have scope of performing much better in ODI and T20s as player and even as batsman in tests (if you have not retired).I hope you continue to serve Indian cricket as a player atleast for next 2-3 years .

I still remember the days (20 years from Azhar, Ganguly ) when we used to go to finals of many triangular or quadrangular cups and not win any of them . Thankfully you changed that. Now we cannot even count how many cups you won.

Tough times never last , but tough people do. Play it your way, entertain us and leave on your own terms.

R Ashwin is widely considered the leader of India's bowling attack, particularly in home conditions. He has ended the World T20 - a tournament held in India, on pitches that have by and large helped the spinners - having delivered only 15 overs in five matches, the smallest workload of India's four frontline bowlers.

"In games like these often you want to give the new guy a go, because if you see, where Shikhar had the edge was in a few games before the World Cup. Other than that, if you see the stats, Ajinkya in such conditions like in the IPL, he's been among the leading run-scorers as opener. So those were the reasons behind it. I'm glad that after facing a few deliveries he got a start and did what he does best."

You are making it look as if he has retired or left the captaincy.

PR activity on the forum has increased to draw people into emotions after tournament exit due to Dhoni's poor captaincy.
