I am happy that he won't be commentating as he was irritating to listen to.

All home series production is done by BCCI and it pays it's commentators for that. Whatever analysis and pre/post match stuff you see in the studios is done by the respective broadcasters and they pay their analysts for that.

 

BCCI doesn't pay the commentators for non home or ICC events and the respective production houses do that. This is a well known fact.

Gavaskar has become really lazy as a commentator. Doesn't do his homework, doesn't watch enough cricket anymore. Was decent back in the day. But then he was competing against Ravi Shastri, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, Sanjay Manjrekar, Harsha Bhogle, Arun Lal

cheerleader charges 150 us dollar per match, piece of cake for them but eversince WIZCRAFT sues their Agent last year we can see lot less cheerleader for 2016 ipl.

supreme court demans BCCI to pay enough for states for the development of future cricket so bcci starts to cut cost.

last year their profit was 516 Crore.[ net ]
