Agree with OP. Even now, I feel they should play both Milne and Badree just to see if Milne can deliver in those last few crucial overs. Right now, their bowling looks pretty weak. 

 

Problem with Gayle is that he plays one blinder of a knock once and then has 3-4 single digit scores. Look at the World T20 for his typical form.

That's all we need actually. At least in the group stages. You hardly need around 16 pts to qualify. That's eight matches. He has to click only three or four of his innings.If he plays, win is all but certain.

And don't forget the fear factor he bring along. The par score jumps 20 runs if the opposition see Gayle In the opposition.

RCB sorely missing international bowlers here. Badree is a must pick. Milne should be played too until Starc is fit. Otherwise, RCB just have to get 200+ every time they bat first.

On paper, RCB is the best team. The fun part about IPL is that you can have 7 (4 in this case) of the best batters in the world but there are only 120 balls. The other team just needs to produce one or two guys who can top the best RCB player for the day.

Okay. That explains then why he's not being picked. Still, they should have played Milne. Gayle looks completely out of touch.

Starc was injured long back and he's out of this IPL season. Can't do much about it.

 

Badree getting injured in the last game before IPL, while trying to taking a catch from No.10 batsman of the opposition in the 19th over of the innings was pure bad luck. He just had another 9 balls to field before the IPL. His injury didn't look too bad, but there hasn't been any update on that. He may play later in the season.

 

David Willey would have been a very good replacement, but he hasn't listed himself in the IPL auctions as fas as i Know.

 

But you gotta play with what you've got. First change the mindset that just because we've got a great batting line up, it's their job to win every game. Bowling has to be aggressive and look for wickets not containment. Milne has to step up and lead the attack along with Watson. Give a game or two to Aaron and see how he goes. There's just too much of trundling with Harshal, Aravind and Weise.

Yes go for wickets. Its very difficult to contain batsman in Chinnaswamy. This trundler brigade is just sad - can't contain or pick wickets.

No harm in trying Aaron and Nechim for a few games instead of Harshal and Aravind.

Travis head  is a good player on patta did very well in bbl

They can actually make watson open and add mandeep in side and play with Kane richardson and milne 
Or in case the pitches turn they cud go for travis head he is a very gud spinner

 

Next two games is against MI n Pune, gayle has struggled against Mi n Ashwin so kind of blessing in disguise

N watson has made lot of runs against ashwin n co n like indian bowling attack
