maniac Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 Putting Sanga over Dravid because even though Dravid has 800 more runs than Sanga in tests,Sanga has almost 4000 runs more than Dravid in ODI's and also has done reasonably well in T20's...Also to add to the fact that Sanga played with a relatively weaker batting line up than the one Rahul played in. Similarly Kumble comes in before Waqar-not just from the sheer volume of wickets but also the fact that Kumble was pretty much a one man army in the bowling dept for India in home tests....that too at such an extent that India was labelled the final frontier for most visiting teams. Chaminda Vaas surprisingly has 400 ODI wickets in addition to his 300+ Test wickets which obviously puts him in the list.

Rightarmfast Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Bowlers - Wasim Akram -LFM Waqar Younis - RF Imran Khan - RFM Muralitharan - ROB .......... Now you can put any name as you please... On 2nd thought, Imran Khan could be the No1 bowler ever. Don't forget he didn't bowl for 2 yrs in his career, yet ended up with such stats... So he could have been better than Wasim... Ras Al Ghul Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 How is Bhajji better than Bedi? A small matter of the difference in avgs being a good 6 points. Sent from my SM-T805 using Tapatalk

Rightarmfast Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Harbhajan should be the worst bowler ever to get 400 wickets. How can u even rate him? U seriously believe he was better than Saqlain Mushtaq?
Texan Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 OP, you forgot Fazal Mahmood, one of the greatest Pakistani bowlers of all time.

U seriously believe he was better than Saqlain Mushtaq? Yes leagues ahead of Saqlain....maybe if you just consider ODI's yes Saqlain was better but tests and ODI's combined-Bhajji all the way. Here is a guy who took a hattrick against the invincible Aussie team and apart from our batting was one of the major pillars of why we could stand up and compete with those Australian teams. Saqlain invented the Doosra(a chuck taking advantage of the 15 degree rule),so what Sarfaraz Nawaz invented the bottle cap Reverse Swing...does it make him better than Malcolm Marshall? Bhajji stopped using the Doosra for most of his career too. Stop falling for the hype that Saqlain was the best thing since slice bread...Yes he was a very good ODI bowler...that's about it
Rightarmfast Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I doubt you ever watched Saqlain! Bhajji is not even india's best spinner... express bowling 1

Yes Agree but Bhajji has wickets and that's what matters.....Also I have watched Saqlain....As I said he was a wonderful ODI bowler...his test longevity speaks for itself.....stop rating people on talent....look at the results.... 208 test wickets at an average of nearly 30 from 49 tests vs 417 wickets from 103 tests What makes Saqlain superior??? Bhajji was a key part of a team that reached world No1,Won WT20 and World cup...Bhajji all the way. Yeah sure Saqlain was more tailunted but didnt matter a lot
Rightarmfast Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Bhajji took 417 wickets in 103 matches ( phatta wickets, tailor made to help him ). Saqlain 208 in 49 tests. in 98 tests, he would have taken 416 wickets, 5 matches less than Bhajji... And on unfriendly pitches... Its a screwed up logic, but matches the logic that you are giving. Bhajji has taken more wickets than Wasim Akram in tests. Is he better than Wasim Akram?

HippoSucks Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) Harbhajan shouldn't be anywhere near this list. Bedi, Prasanna, Chandrasekar, Kumble, Gupte, Mankad, Saqlain, Qadir, Mushtaq etc were better. Edited June 9, 2016 by HippoSucks express bowling 1
