"You have to be honest to yourself and that makes it easier for you to accept things. I have to accept that I didn't do well in shorter formats. But I am doing well in Tests and so I know what my strengths are. It's important to know what your strengths are"

ishu should show little extra honesty and agree that he is a shitty test bowler too ..

No he isnt  bad test bowler

When he started he had a gr8 1st yr, then god knows y he fiddled with his action and went downslide. In such a young age he has played 67 test which means he has played a lot. That would have been given him far lesser time off the game to work on. Past 2-3 yrs he has been out of short formats n he has improved. Yes he is no legend but not a shitty bowler.

He still has a lot of time in his hand to change things n sure he wud. Even zaheer khan was pretty shittty till 2007. Kumble acquired the status of legend from 2003 aus tour when he actually started to do well overseas. Bowlers take their own time.

Ishant has won us gud number of games n series.

So 31 odd average in the last 15 tests over 2 years in tests - thats not bad.

Ishant's problem is that he's a very good 3rd seamer who has to play the role of a top 2 seamer.

Starting with the NZ series in early 2014, Ishant has bowled very consistently  in test matches. He has combined good line and length with good pace  and bounce and has done his job effectively.
