G_B_ Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 It is fairly new and I am not rich. Your not rich? Man my respect for you just plummeted.... As for getting the smell out. A friend of mine in mumbai burnt some sandlewood in a smelly car.. Worked for him... U may also want to take out the foot well mats and wash or replace them. Do that every year and it means my car stops smelling Sent from my Wileyfox Swift using Tapatalk beetle 1
beetle Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 Thanks G_B_ Just you watch man....I will soon be ICF crorepati...
Detonator Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Usually these kind of smell comes from the seat cushion if the cover is fabric or the made up leather. This combination absorbs pulpy things quicky and produce rotten stinks. No amount of air freshners and dry cleaning will solve this. You need to find a place where they detach the seats, remove the cover, clean and wash the cover and dry clean the seat cushion with compressed air. Also remove the mats and find if there is anything spilled. BTW, whats the car model ?? beetle 1

gattaca Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Are you sure ? Their is no dead animal under the hood or some where ? Make sure you check that. Happened to us there was a dead rat. Green Camphor will do wonders try that. beetle 1
mishra Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Well its not going to go that easy. I have had such incidents in past where my lil one spilled the milk and it got absorbed in upholstery. First time it was very bad as we didnt notice when it happened. On second occasion we caught it early and used some upholstery cleaning solution which basically creates foam on top of the spray area which you can wipe clean. Not sure if similar products are available In India. Just keep the window open overnight if you could for a week. beetle 1
