msplash9 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 (edited) He is the best star sports commentator imo. His insights on the game is very good. Always have a clear idea on what is happening on the field and presents very logical and balanced views Edited October 9, 2016 by msplash9 BeautifulGame, express bowling and tweaker 3
sourab10forever Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 He is Sanju-Manju's partner in crime .Sunil Gavasker has to pull both of them back from drifting conversations about taxi's and selfies. tweaker 1
Tibarn Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 He and Ian Bishop are two of the best. They actually spend time analyzing technique/strategy. Their commentary isn't as great when working a series in which we are involved because our commentators are mostly useless. When I watch NZ vs X or WI vs Y those two are always great. MK55 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 (edited) He is definitely one of my favorites since some time now. Also quite shrewd in his commentary and often highlights any strategic field placements during the match that other commentators tend to miss. sourab10forever Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 And make them talk about centuries Yeah... But atleast it's about cricket. Who give a fudge about their first selfie or how they drove to that stadium that morning...

Manju's wife must have instructed him to convey to her, via commentary, about what he has been upto outside the commentary box. Edited October 9, 2016 by express bowling Mosher 1
-Robin- Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 New Zealanders are very good commentators. Even Gavaskar was talking sense in 2014 tour because of them.

Rightarmfast Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 The only thing that I think of when I hear Simon Doull is the 97-98 India tour to NZ where he totally decimated our team with his swing bowling. He domincated the entire Indian batting throughout the test series and it was a pathetic batting display by the Indian team ( which was a regular feature from Indian team during those times ) , Srinath was the only saving grace as he bowled super express pace. And I remember the NZ and Indian commentators saying' Look at the kind of pace Srinath is generating'.. He touched 150 even in this series, 152 to be precise, but ofcourse theres no official record to it. tweaker, Mosher and express bowling 3
sandeep Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I hated Fleming during his playing days. He was an arrogant, aggressive git. But I like him as a commentator. tweaker 1
philcric Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Simon Doull and Ian Bishop are 2 consistently good commentators. tweaker 1

BeautifulGame Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Simon Doull has just said on commentary who he rates the best three batsmen in his time. This would go down well Lara Dravid Martin Crowe tweaker 1
