BCCI announces u 19 squad for challenger trophy

  The junior selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced the squads for the Under-19 Challenger Trophy which will be held at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh from October 26 to 29.

 

A total of 39 names have been announced with each of the squads -- India Blue, India Green and India Red -- comprising 13 players, according to a statement from the board.

 

India Blue: Prithvi Shaw, Digvijay Rangi, Daryl S Ferrario, Harvik Desai, S.Lokeshwar, Suyash Prabhudessai, Ninad Ratwa, S.Ajith Ram, Akul Pratap Pandove, R S Jaganath Sinivas, Kamlesh Nagarkothi, Arzan Nagwaswalla, Vivekanand Tiwari.

 

India Green: Rohan SK, Jyotsnil Singh, Chandan Sahani, Priyam Kumar Garg, Sandeep Kumar Tomar, Adeeb Usmani, Anukul Roy, Shiva Singh, Abhishek Shrivastav, P Girinath Reddy, Izan Sayed, Diprajsinh Chudasama, Shubham Arora.

 

India Red: Shubman Gill, Ankush Wakode, Salman Khan, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Tamore, Sudip Kumar Gharami, Ankur Paul, Ayush Jamwal, Rahul Chahar, Rishabh Bhagat, Vishvash Malik, Yash Thakur, Simarjeet Singh.

Yep. Altough he hasnt bowled much at u19 level.

Yh possibly i think he is still 16.

I bet DB Rangi from HP is going to be the  new U19 star. He was a strong contender for U19 team in last WC too but was probably too young but will be a strong contender next time. Already scored a 100 in first game, no other batsman form his team crossed 30.

Punjab all-rounder Abhishek Sharma will lead a 15-member Indian under-19 squad for the Youth Asia Cup to be held from December 13 to 24 in Sri Lanka,

Some promising batsmen here: Gill, Rangi, Shaw and the allrounder Sharma. Dunno about the bowlers - spinners and pacers. Ansari is young enough to deserve playing on this circuit a couple of years perhaps, and Lomror as well.
