Austin 3:!6 Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) Seems like many players across the globe are riding on the injury train. Will update if anyone onboard the train in future. India Rohit Sharma Wriddhiman Saha Shikhar Dhawan Ajinkya Rahane Mohammed Shami South Africa Dale Steyn - 6 months out with Right Shoulder Fracture AB Devilliers Pakistan Haris Sohail SriLanka Lasith Malinga Bangladesh Mustafizur Rehman West Indies Chris Gayle Australia Shaun Marsh James Pattinson Pat Cummins John Hasting New Zealand Martin Guptil England Stuard Broad Haseeb Hamid James Anderson Edited December 31, 2016 by Austin 3:!6 G_B_, Malcolm Merlyn, Sidhoni and 1 other 4
G_B_ Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 hmm to fair Malinga is a sort of gone case IMO. Worrying the among of injuries India have. Too much cricket too soon? You missed NZ as well. No long term injuries but a lot of their players were in and out Austin 3:!6 1

Cummins will play his first first class test match in over a year next week it seems. http://www.cricket.com.au/news/patrick-cummins-domestic-red-ball-return-toyota-futures-league-nsw-blues-tasmania-blacktown-injuries/2016-11-04 Pattinson wont play this year but maybe next year. tweaker 1
tweaker Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Shaun Marsh has been ruled out of the rest of the South Africa series with a broken finger, meaning Joe Burns and Callum Ferguson have been included in Australia's Test squad for the second Test in Hobart, which begins on Saturday.

Kumble spoke about that. This is a new protocol that if a player recovers from an injury, he has to prove his fitness by playing domestic cricket. That's why Ishant played a Ranji game after recovering. tweaker and Laaloo 2

Usage of this software is much lesser than the upgrades and installation, it always has.... He spend most of his time licking his injuries than actually playing for the country..... tweaker 1
tweaker Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Australia paceman Peter Siddle has been ruled out of the second test against South Africa in Hobart with a lower back injury,
maniac Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Pattinson and Cummins should be on a different list. There has to be an update whenever the anesthesia wears out from their surgery or when they can actually get up and go the restroom without the use of a bed pan. Have these guys ever played 3 or 4 games in a row be it ODI or T20 leave alone tests Edited November 8, 2016 by maniac tweaker 1
Austin 3:!6 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 Wow Steyn out for 6 months So its safe to say he wont play the Champions Trophy That might be the end of a glorious career. tweaker 1
express bowling Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) Shami has a sore knee and that is the most worrying injury for me. He had a knee operation during his 12 month layoff and I hope it is nothing serious. He is our most valuable fast bowler and needs to be fit for our team's sake. He should be rested for the 4th test even if he is borderline fit.....no need to aggravate his injury. Rahane, Pandya, Rohit, Dhawan and Saha out with injuries.... Rahul, Shami and Vijay injured during this series too. What is happening ? Edited December 7, 2016 by express bowling Mosher 1

These cricketers are very fragile and our physios need to work on them (when they are without injury) between series to make them fitter in general.

The team management should find out if there is a pattern to some of those injuries. Can some activities be excluded or some precautions included to avoid those injuries. beetle 1
