putrevus
Cook's decent way of saying Mr.Anderson take your 50 plus average and sit your behind on the bench we do not need you. Link to comment
Muloghonto
Unless he does it in 2017, he won't have time to do it before the 2018 tour. IIRC 2018 is crazy for us : we have tours of South Africa (4 test), series vs Sri Lanka (3 tests), England (5 tests), West Indies (3 tests) & Australia (4 tests). So a year with 19 tests + some ODIs, he is captain- so how will he find time ? His opportunity for county cricket is this year. And even then, its doubtful, because his only window of opportunity is going to clash with IPL or Sri Lanka series. Besides, I've been watching cricket a long, long time and county cricket is a cricket of two halves : the first half of the season sees seaming & green wickets, damp conditions and swing, the latter half sees the type of wickets that seam for 2 days and then slow down for the rest, giving window of opportunity for bowlers who hit the deck & spinners. Our series in England is scheduled in the first half of the county season- so going to England and batting for the last half isn't going to help him much. mishra and G_B_ 2 Link to comment
