India ODI squad for England series with all this injuries and CT17 on the horizon

England will play couple of practice matches against BP 11. Hope Nathu, Kuldeep, Aniket, Rajpoot, Hooda, Pant and Ishan will be selected in the BP 11 team.

Yes....this will give the selectors a big opportunity to try out new talent against an international  side outside of international matches.

Axar is injured and out of the series...selectors will announce on 5th or 6th Jan.

Yep Axar Patel is out. One by one, the injuries list is growing!! We have to play India-B (not even India-A!!) vs England.

Axar is not the answer anyway for champions trophy. We are building for England and have to play Ashwing-Mishra or Jadeja. These are our best spinners and only one or two of them might play in England and hence it is important to not select other spinners and give them false hope. After Champions trophy, we can look to think about other spinners like Kuldeep Yadav etc, but for now we have to utilize the three mentioned above and move on. 

 

We should be thinking more about our seamers than spinners right now.

Seamers are sorted out.. Shami bhuvi and bumrah will play along with pandya
Ashwin will get the spinners slot.. Now that is prity Gud bowling line up.

May be Dhoni all of a sudden prefers him now after good outing in all the twenty20 he played year. I like Nehra but they have to start thinking about developing new seamers for future like Sandeep Sharma etc for English conditions.

 

Anyway, I want to see how Nehra goes in the warm up which he will play against England. Want to see how fast he is bowling post surgery.

Lol Nehra in ODIs? Selectors and team management are morons. Would like to see Nathu/Rajpoot in the side now.

 

Shami is getting plagued by injuries. I dont see him lasting long unless we manage his workload. And even then it wont be easy. So need appropriate replacements.
