Most foreign commentators are biased against India unless they have a commercial interest in being pro India. Nasser is often critical of India and BCCI. And I often find myself agreeing with his criticisms. This is true though. Nasser calls spade a spade, and that is the reason I expect some standards from him. GoldenSun 1

Don't call a spade a spade when comes to England team then pathetic cheer leader I do feel sky team to close to England team means they can give objective criticism of them and as mates with them and hang around with them that's why boycott says does not hang around or be friends with England players , as wants to be able to give objective analysis

Calm down mate, I know everyone gets a bit stressed when they've been dominated a bit but don't vent it here. I started this thread during first over of the match lol
kosingh Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 The English are whiners in general. They even whine about their own team. Heard enough crap from them about Cook during the test series. Being negative is just an English thing, I suppose.

Jadhav is not a Bombay player, he plays for Maharashtra, different domestic team. GoldenSun, tweaker and kosingh 3
ShebbySB Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Air some views on the great commentator Geoffrey "Ruuuubbishhhh Boycott" pls Gaaaanguuuuliiii the prince of Calcuuutttaaaa.
Vilander Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) sport on @King Tendulkar lol it was a classic test series. First they said spinner tracks and lost on a fair pitch, then they said win toss and win match and consistently lost after winning toss, and then the real fun one they say India is good in Indian conditions got a really flat deck but still got crushed by a 300..hehe And the skiddy bit is true, we all know Yadav and Shami are short and so are skiddy but they peak at 145k most of the time, thats 10 k more than broad and anderson could muster. Thats not with a primary attribute of skiddy, thats with a primary attribute of pace. Edited January 15, 2017 by Vilander
YCCC Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 It's funny because I always get the impression that Nasser quite likes India, with his heritage (I reckon he was at Lord's as a teen celebrating the first WC win ;) ) but he has to put more of an English slant on things working for Sky. Like Bumble and Atherton, despite being Lankies. Bumble always has a good word for Yorkshire. Don't like Knight, * knows how he's become one of the main comms, face fits I guess. Hate Botham and Gower sends me to sleep. One to watch is Rob Key, really like listening to him, especially on Sky's county coverage as he knows a lot of the players personally and gives excellent insights into what certain players are like to face. None of the Sky team know as much about the county game as him. He went to Bangladesh as part of the commentary team, hopefully part of the regular team when Botham and Gower sod off. Boycs is the best obviously. GoldenSun 1

Gower and Nasser - well they're very arrogant but never fail to give credit to the opposition.
diga Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Surprisingly nobody commented on how Root sucked the momentum of Eng..anybody who played 20 balls had a higher s/r than Root
retired_hurt Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Naseer used to be good till two years ago, now he is just an establishment man. His comments during KP saga clearly showed where his loyalties lie. When was the last time you saw him criticizing Cook? He is just an ECB stooge.
King Tendulkar Posted January 16, 2017 Author Posted January 16, 2017 Nasser and Atherton can and do give insights of worth quite often. Unfortunaltley they cant help themselves sometimes with their snidey , agenda ridden rubbish on India. From previuosly every 10 seconds mentionining drs, to toss blah blah (until they kept losing even after winning toss), kohli in england (no mention of root pants in oz and how players can improve and learn from previuos failures), Pitches/conditions blah blah And so on and so on. But we handed their asses back to them and so had to eat their own crap. Love it

Love it I think like media and analysts from any foreign country - it takes a bit longer for outsiders to recognize and accept the greatness of a foreign player. Now that VK has overcome that with his sustained excellence, you will see how gushy the English commies are and will be. And I don't mind the pro-England perspective - as you said, makes it a LOT more fun when they lose. Which with this Team India, is going to be often :) I say, bring on the biased commies, and enjoy listening to them choke on their own BS tweaker and kosingh 2
