He is fighting hard still though he has got hurt. If he scores 100 today I will eat my words. My judgement says he won't score more than 50 today.

Let's see. Uv looks good. But English pacers are average except woakes. Anderson and broad on this pitch would have ensured England win.
King Tendulkar Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 Bouncy pitch. Ball zipping around yuvraj looked most comfortable of our batters . Even more comfortable then Kohli today and those short balls . Licking them with pure arrogance
kira Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Yuvi haters hiding in some tunnel somewhere, epic egg on the face of haters

vishalvirsingh Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I like kedar...I believe he will win us the match today. Yoda-esque 1
rkt.india Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Wasted a lot of balls, SR of 78, not impressed at all. Dhoni too, SR of 69.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 On this pitch UV showed he is still not over. sandeep 1
Texan Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 (edited) Still not convinced he is there yet. Both Yuv and Dhoni started slowly. Dhoni was not even trying, got 7 off 20, got a lucky 6 to get the SR a little higher and then got out. While chasing 300+, wasting first 10-15 balls is also a sin, you just cannot afford that. From first 20 balls, Dhoni should get minimum 15 runs. Edited January 22, 2017 by Texan
Texan Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Runs scored in the first 20 balls (for batsmen that lasted 20 balls) in this match: Kohli - 21 runs Yuvraj - 9 runs Dhoni - 7 runs Jadhav - 22 runs Pandya - 21 runs As you can see, both Yuvraj and Dhoni tend to start a bit slow and unless they can last and score hundreds, these kind of innings will suck up the momentum of a chase or even while trying to setup a big score. In the last match, everything worked out since they got big hundreds. Don't want to be too harsh on them especially after they got hundreds just in the previous match, but I feel the ODI cricket these days is more suitable for players who can knock around runs right from ball 1. cowboysfan and sandeep 2

King Tendulkar Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 None of you watched the game hence spouting this nonsense . when yuvraj walked in ball was decking around everywhere. Like a test match . But as both innings showed it was getting through the tough period and then accelerating later . Yuvraj faced very tough bowling and looked most at ease against it out of our top 5 . Looked the part sandeep and WeStMiDz 2

I thought it was a very mature innings. Firstly steadying the ship with Kohli and then coming into his own with some delightful strokes. On another day he would have clipped that ball for six. King Tendulkar Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 And yes people criticising yuvraj and dhoni for today are not just being harsh but down right ridiculous . yes they did both score tons and yvraj last match scored a glorious 150. sandeep 1
GautiMaan Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Conditions where tough when Yuvraj came in.So its understandable that his SR was less initially Dhoni cannot give this excuse, his pokes and nudges kept finding fielders. He was the main reason Moeen Ali got away with an economic spell.
