This is not just true for Pandya, but even for someone like Bhuvi. If he bowls extremely bad in all three games then he might not get picked in England as first choice.

It is very possible when you have lotnof bowling options. Kohli backs Jadhav's bowling and Yuvraj is a pretty good ODI bowler too.

If we use them smartly, somethinf Kohli can learn from Dhoni when he used Raina in the middle. Again, most likely Pandya will pay but we have to keep options open. Even kohli will bowl in chanpions trophy, watch.

Depends how they are used. Need to be smart in using those bowlers.

These days where 350 is becoming the norm, part-timers should not be entrusted with bowling 10 overs. They will be taken apart.

But I think most of those games were in India, playing away Dhoni has, most of the times played with Jaddu as the fifth bowler along with ashwin and 3 pacers.

• Part time spinners are not the answer in England
• Even in India, I have never seen this happen.  
• Provision needs to be kept for a frontline bowler having a bad day, and that is where these part-timers come in.
• Kohli is a big fan of  proper bowlers in the lineup over extra batsmen.

He used him every wher.

 

 But a lot also depends on the twenty20s coming up. If Yuvraj bowls well in that or Jadhav, Kohli would seriously start working out new combinations for CT and would be prepared for plan 2. Plan 1 being playing the current set up of Pandya nd 4 bowlers.

By the way bhuvi shami and bumrah are a grt combination.I like it..Some how want them all to play even in subcontinent

 

Jadega can play at no7 ashwin at 8 and bhuvi is no mug with the bat either at 9

 

So dropping pandya isnt a big issue on turning slow wickets..Watever benefit pandya will give as a 7th no. hitter can be compensated by Shami's bowling

True and at the same time I want to say that dropping Pandya should be the last resort, that is if he is not able to bowl well at all.

I don't think Jadeja can be our 7th batsman. We have tried him at that position many times with poor results. He can;t clear the big grounds and needs time to settle in. Also, Ash can bat well if we have to go around run-a-ball not when the need is to get boundaries.

Bump- Its time to start BBS attwck from

the next test so we can officially implement it in South Africa.

 

Bumrah-Bhuvi-Shami is an amazing attack and needs to be tried in test.

 

I hope Bumrah gets picked.
