That means, Pant will bat at No.6,  if and when he gets in the test team.

Yes and exactly the point. Hence he should be ready to open too cause he might not even get no.6 if Nair is doing well and Kishan is a better keeper, if he is a better keeper it is a different thing. 

 

Any incoming player should be ready to bat anywhere up the order.

Considering our selectors recent selections they would select nadeem instead of Kuldeep and S.Kaul as one of the pacers

^Selectors are surely reading the forum and social media. If not all, at least they got some player in the team whom they did not select in the Irani Trophy. Would have also liked to see Nathu, Kuldeep and Siraj.

Overall they have selected a very good squad .This squad has players who can play for India.Exited to see Chaudhary in the mix.

The selector have made a good mix of top performers in the Ranji squad & players who can be successful in the international cricket.

Yes, good to see Mukund. Really wanted him amd Panchal who got chance because of being the top scorer. 

 

This one is a big game in terms of bowling for Pandya. Let's see what he does.

Also impressed by Shankar as medium pace allrounder when.saw him in action against Mumbai.

 

Rahul Dravid rates him very high & he was always his 1st choice allrounder till he got injured

For once a good squad .Shame it's just a two day game.So probably will just one innings each only.

 

Hopefully Pant gets the chace.Have a bad feeling Saini will keep wickets and Pant won't play.

Yeah good squad but Siraj should have been in there for sure, apparetly bowled well vs Gujurat too. So bit surprised. WOuld have selected him

I wanted it to happen too  but knew that none would be picked by this selection committee.

 

Aaron is fit now and I was hoping that he would be selected.

 

Another genuine fast bowler, who is skillful too.....is  Nathu Singh....and he should have been picked.

^ Hm yeah. Do you think  Siraj would have been a better one given his Ranji season better on current form? and Good Irani match too so it would have been consistent from the selectors.  Theyve got two left arm pacers in this squad probably unnecessary

 

Its good that theyre encouraging youngsters like Aniket by picking them in the squads.

Aniket is very much ready to play test cricket. Siraj isn't. He is younger and has time in his hand. Needs to improve.

Aaron has recovered and he has bowled today in SMA trophy match vs Assam.
