sensible-indian Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Saha was better today with the decisions. He needs to step up. Kohli has been more restraint in this test with his DRS. Only error can be his batting review.

( keeping in mind the DRS rules ) It has to be a logical process based on facts and not based on gut-feel and instincts. Kumble needs to give clear guidelines to the captain, wicket-keeper, bowlers, close-in-fielders as well as batsmen regarding how to take reviews logically. There is no point in taking reviews regarding decisions about which even we are uncertain ( as Umpire's call would stand in a 50:50 case ).... unless it is past the 70th over and both reviews are left or the wicket involved is the last critical one while either batting or bowling. Batsman and keeper are best people know about the such edges. India had no review left and Saha could have cost us a wicket with this.

Thats rare.Fact is Its a team effort wk can help with line but bat pad and generally bowlers have to take responsibility.

The stats in the OP only mention badly taken reviews, there have been 2 instances this series of batsmen getting out but either review not taken or reviews used up earlier for desperation.
