If no video evidence is found barring the last one (where Smith was warned by the umpire) then kohli will have to apologize publicly for making such outrageous comments on a formal press conference.

To use a popular phrase thrown around in US politics today, "the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"

First off - regardless of What Kohli said, and whether the aussies are cheating systematically - Smith should have been at least fined for his actions instead of getting away scotfree.    There is no ambiguity in what he did, and the fact that it was  a flagrant violation of the rules and spirit of the game.  But as usual, Whitey gets off easy.   And you have the stupid toygers crying about BCCI = ICC nonsense without any basis.

Yes, I also believe that he should have been fined. After all he did something in the heat of the moment what he shouldn't have.

Having said that, umpire intervened and Smith didn't get the chance to take any unfair advantage. It was a brain fade from his Part and the match referee believes the same. After all match referee is there for a reason and his take on this is that such a small mistake doesn't deserve any punishment.

It's kohli who's taking it too far by making outrageous claims. Should he be punished if he can't prove his claim, hmmm??

That logic is similar in vein to the shyteriah logic of punishing a rape victim if she can't produce 4 pious male witnesses and letting the rapist go free.   Smith cheated.  VK alerted the umpires to his cheating and Smith got caught red-handed.  VK answered a question in a press conference and disclosed the fact that he had observed similar behavior earlier and reported it.  If you still feel VK deserves punishment, either you are not capable of thinking clearly, or have another axe to grind.

Really? I can't believe some Indian fans r dumb enough to demand Smith's suspension because of such trival incident.

Looks like the young aussie captain has badly rattled the cage of some Indian fans with his brilliant batting performance. They r so scared of him that some of them desperately want him to get punished for such a negligible offense. Haha.... really loving the fear of my Indian brothers,

???

Sometimes you post posing as Indian. Now we are your Indian brothers? I know Pakistani like to use Indian names to hide behind in foreign nations, but please confirm what you are and then post. If you are Pakistani, then post like a Pakistani. Stop pretending to be someone you're not.

Australia also regularly dish out roads to the touring team. Do I know why?  It's because the Aussie ftb r done for good the moment there's a blade of grass on the pitch or a bit of turn.

Every team should complain about these Australia phattas to to the ICC. They have been shamelessly cheating for quite some time now.

Lol, Australian pitches are made to last 5 days making it fair for both sides, ACB or the Australian team don't get involved pitch preparations, unlike India.

He's a bangladeshi who likes to troll by posting as an Indian, he's a poster with the same name on the padosi forum, he was funny in the beginning but now his act has become irritating and annoying.

LOL. Australian pitches r tailor made for ftbs like Warner. After all that's the only way a ftb like him or other countless ftbs in Australian team r goona score. ICC should warn these aussie cheaters. :agree:

We don't deliberately make substandard pitches like India do, you know what you're going to get in Australia and you can prepare accordingly.

Yeah we saw what happened when you made "unfair" tracks against south africa :phehe: The only reason australia makes flat tracks is because your batsmen are completely incompetent when the ball starts moving even a micrometer

What was so unfair about them?

SA are actually good enough to win a series in Australia every now and then, how many test series has India won in Australia? Winning in Australia is test crickets holy grail, and you know it.

So the definition of "substandard" pitch now is any pitch that the aussies can't score easily on?  Did Sri Lanka make "sub standard pitches" also? Is that the reason your lot was too scared to tour Bangladesh?

No, the definition of substandard pitch is one that has a bounce variation of over a metre on day one.

I couldn't give a rats ass how much a pitch turns or doesn't turn, but variable bounce like that is ridiculous and not fit for park cricket let alone test cricket.

Look up wickets in 2012 vs India. They were covered with grass and the immediate tour of South Africa no grass at all to nullify Steyn and morkel.

Why would we try and nullify Steyn and Morkel? We can match anyone in the fast bowling department, I would've be more inclined to make green tops to nullify Amla and Deviliers.

At the end of the day you're preparing a pitch for a 5 day match, it has to last 5 days and batsman should be able to expect even bounce for the first 3 days at least, whether it spins or seams is irrelevant.

Unrelated but hilarious joke. Got this from reddit.

"Beta which Which channel do you watch?"

Kohli : "CNBC"

Neighbour: "Aren’t you too young to watch business and shares related channels?"

Kohli’s mother: "He is saying Cartoon Network"

So a random fan's opinion on what type of pitch is more of an advantage to the aussies is more pertinent.  Sure.

On the subject of the Indian pitches - weather is a factor, time of season is a factor as well.  England came during early winter and all the tracks were extremely good.  Arguably, England was a bigger threat to India than Australia, comparing their teams, ability to play spin, and previous touring history - recent or otherwise.   So if the team wanted to doctor pitches, there was more reason to do so against England than Australia.  But we didn't see that, did we?

Maybe, just maybe - there are other reasons as to why the pitches are the way they are, as opposed to jumping to conclusions that the Indians are deliberately preparing substandard pitches.   If you think your own logic through - variable bounce pitches actually increase the odds in Australia's favor, not India's.   Because such pitches make Lyon and O'Keefe more effective, while Ash and Jadeja have proven to be effective on Indian pitches, even when they are flat.  Pune test is a prime example, so is Bangalore.  Its just not in Indian team's interest to have such lottery pitches - why would they intentionally create conditions that hurt their chances of winning?
