CG
Looks like someone is really after Kumble now. All of a sudden so many articles coming out putting him in bad light. He has been the head coach for more than a year and nothing of this sort surfaced earlier. Once TOI started the bullshit others has to follow.Actually TOI has drones over England they found out what Ganguly and Kohli were talking about during their conversation . Link to comment

As I earlier said ,if they aren't true all it would have taken was a tweet from Kohli or Ashwin to end the story. The fact was when it was put to Kohli ,he was pretty lukewarm in his response about Kumble show there are issues between them. Whether they can sort it out is different matter altogether.Doesnt mean the reports aren't true. beetle and Masquerade 2 Link to comment

Where does it say major injury? It could be referring to all small injuries too and players may be unhappy after missing even one match. Like BG said if this not true, we will see a comment from team and captain dismissing these comments Link to comment

He is our most valuable fast bowler and needs to be fit for our team's sake. He should be rested for the 4th test even if he is borderline fit.....no need to aggravate his injury. Only 1 injury has been mentioned as stress related and it has been mentioned most of injuries were for non-cricketing reasons. I don't believe such articles either, but can't be dismissed directly either wth comments like players are lazy and there are no incidents. If players have complained then this matter should be taken seriously and both sides should be heard, otherwise just dismiss these news. New guy 1 Link to comment

cowboysfan
Kumble wants to run a professional team and I guess that's too much for some guys especially guys like yuvi who are not fit anymore. Rasgulla, diga, Kerberos and 3 others 6 Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
The fact that these articles or reports are being leaked to the press itself means there's some problem and higher ups - be it players or BCCI or both - don't want Kumble to continue. We never heard a single word about Fletcher and that guy was as useless as they come who cashed his checks for doing nothing. And here Kumble's contract was not renewed, other candidates have been asked to apply for the post of India coach, Sehwag was specifically approached by BCCI to apply for the role despite no credentials, BCCI official took shots at Kumble regarding pay dispute and now finally players (and Kohli) apparently not on good terms with Kumble. These are plenty of incidents, not an isolated one. IMO Kumble is on his way out and I hope this fiasco doesn't have an adverse impact on India's CT performance Vilander 1 Link to comment

kubrickian
Funny how this comes out just before CT. Cricinfo has a history of anti India rhetoric, so I wont care too much about it. Let someone from Indian team make it public, then we'll talk more about it. There is a tournament at hand, let it be dealt with first. Then other changes could be made depending on team's choice.
