"MISGUIDED REFORM"

Rohit Ohri, group chairman at advertising agency FCB India, said the I&B ministry's move is a "misguided reform" triggered by the Sunny Leone ad for Manforce condom. "If the Sunny Leone advertisement is offensive, we should ban that advertisement and not regulate all condom advertising," he said.

Good point but her ads sometime seem like soft core porn. IMO there's no need to ban all condoms ads & it should be struck down by courts.

Ohri said that to protect children from being unhealthy influences it's better to focus on education. "Creating taboos is not the answer. Creating healthy discussion is," he said and called for introducing sex and birth control education in senior school

Totally agree.

Good moove! In UK, Its assumed that Child time is 7 AM - 7 PM. Adult themed serials only appear after 9 PM, Generally after 10 -11 PM. If only our tv channels and bosses knew that children are awake and do sit with parents and somehow self regulated themselves, It wouldnt have come to here

there are no such ads on TV.

I have seen these ads on TV

These are played during daytime when impressionable age kids watch tv.

Also, there is no concept of promo ratings  for tv or movies in India . Tou can see promos with item songs like

'kundi na khadkao raja, seedha andar aao raja'

] right while kids are watching chota bheem. Yes, its very much true.

Condom ads as a reminder to people to practice safe sex is a must, especially in our country where there are a lot of HIV/AIDS victims

but

However no point whatsoever broadcasting these during prime time.It makes families uncomfortable  And serves no purpose apart from that. The message is lost for everyone.

Atleast the frisky person watching late night television (don’t know who is doing that in the age of internet)will get the message delivered across to them.

IMO make up products are a placebo at best while damaging to the skin especially if used routinely in some people . There's no justification for utilizing natural resorces & damaging the environment during their manufacture or disposal.

What do you know about make up man?

How is it damaging environment ? Most make up these days is not tested on animals and what utilixing natural resourses?

Keep of the make up and other good stuff.

That is why we are so populated.

Can't watch an ad together but want babies to pop out 9 months from the day of marriage.

I agree with the sentiments but there may be no correlation b/w not watching ads and having the desire to produce babies. To produce babies, you would not use condoms anyways

Yeah but having a half naked sunny Leone will definitely not deliver the message... might make things worse.... sex education is the way to go.
