Poor squad and team selections have cost us the ODI series in England

Recommended Posts

Mavi n Nagarkotti shld be given chances. They are great fielders and can contibute with the bat.Plunket may not be eng best no 3 bowler but is selected bcos of his all round skills.Nagarkotti or Mavi shld be groomed.Yuvraj too was picked just after the u19 wc without any major domestic experience and he served us for long.Same too for Nagarkotti n Mavi.
What if the likes of Nagarkoti takes away all the endorsements of Kohli?
Plus Nagarkoti is better looking than him anyways

We have been saying that for long, he will give us gr8 balance

the problem is balance or imbalance with such players. You can say oh atleast he will contribute more than Karthik or Raina but that is not the point, Good or bad those guys are specialist bats and in Raina's case was supposed to get in a few overs. Krunal is not in the same league as them in terms of his batting reputation and then if he gets tonked in his first few overs,we are screwed.

I hope he turns out to be a gun bat at the international level though

reputation will only be build once he plays n what are our other options

Vijay shankar - his s/r is a concern

Axar n jadeja- their batting is crap

hooda- hasnt done anything on A-tours to grab his chances

Jadhav- he might get a chance next series, but hasnt done any gr8 either

No batsman bowls for us , so we need to find that 6th bowler....at this point krunal looks the best option

K.Pandya has a LIST A average of 33 with the bat and bowling average of 40.00. He has played 1 one first class game.27 years old.

W.Sundar on the other hand was an opener at the junior level, has a first class 100 and was man of the series in his first international tournament. He is just 19 years old too.

I think Sundar has a better upside than K.Pandya. We need to invest in Sundar lot more.

Hardik while I think still has a long way to go,was atleast a unique talent and was also a young prodigy and is fine that he has gotten a lot of opportunities. Needs to convert soon.

Shankar and Axar are not international material and Shankar is 28 years old,so not worth investing in at this point.

Jadeja is your test bowler, the tag of allrounder is way past him at this point.

Krunal vs sundar

At no.6 u need a power game as well which krunal is miles ahead , sundar a better option either up the order or among tail

that 1 Fc is due to injuries that has made him sit out for seasons

Whats wrong in 28 age?? he still can play 6-7 yrs

Sundar if he becomes a proper batsman which he is according to RKT at international level who can bowl some overs will be more valuable than a guy you can't tell if is a batsman or a bowler.

What power game? Dhoni,Raina,Pandey,Jadhav are all supposed to be power hitters. We see how they deal with good consistent bowling these days.

Even if he becomes a proper batsman why to waste him at 6 then

N among top 4-5 ....he wud never be able to compete with the talent of

Shaw, gill, samson, pant, rahul

at 6 u dnt need a proper batsman but more of a power hitter , most day he wud get 15 overs only

UR xamples are poor

Pandey power hitter???

Dhoni was a power hitter

Raina isnt even an international batsman any more

What these 3-4 do how does it relate to krunal batting???Krunal will pass or fail on his ability not on what others do

My 2 pence. These problems will keep happening. Not because we do not have talent in India. But because the power is concentrated too much with a few people. Sadly for Indian cricket, these people have always abused the power. Indian cricket team loses not lose because they are bad, but because of design.

Kohli and Dhoni will not let proper talent come in. Even after the U19 win, Kohli had specifically made a comment that its going to take 3-4 yrs for the young talents to be considered. In hindsight, Kohli wants to hang on to his supremacy and not let any champion player come in and question his dominance. He has always anyway been a selfish, rude person. Why do we think he has changed? He hasnt, its just a PR stunt.

So what's going to happen is, by the time all these young batsmen and the genuine quicks are brought in, they would have lost their steam already. And if we think that the Indian team is going to regroup and try to make changes, we are fooling ourselves. I have seen enough of Indian cricket. About 30+ odd years to understand that no change is going to happen. They are going to bully a weaker team sometime in near future and all will be forgotten!

That is just load of nonsense, you are making as if Kohli is afraid of new talent.

We are seeing how well those young bowlers are faring against lions. Don’t be under illusion that have great fast bowlers.

Mavi and co we saw in IPL they need some seasoning.

Who in IPL has shown that they are capable of blasting from Ball one and still be consistent.
