“We are also hurt the way you guys are” Shikhar Dhawan posts emotional message

Recommended Posts

Anyways we are good that his career is now done and dusted in test matches . Though his game is suited for aussie pitches like rohit, we need to move on. Get players with good backfoot play. Strong spin players should also do well in Australia.

We are interested in their fightbacks ... not their hurts due to their own incompetencies.

True. At international level the performance matters. The talk of "Process", "Preparation", "Ability", "Potential" are useless talks if the performance is not given. Accountability should be there. If you win you get all the appreciation, if you flop be ready to get criticized. It's not a gully cricket match to say we tried and sweep horrible show after losing every series overseas. Man up and accept that everyone else apart from Virat amongst the specialist batsmen have flopped in the SA and in England.

He knows that emotional fans in India will fall for it.

Yep, each of these flop batsmen have their die hard fans and are easy to be taken for ride by such sentimental postings through social accounts. However, if Rahul,Shikhar,Chet, Vijay and Ajinkya have a look at their horrible batting  averages in SA and England they would realize that they would be lucky to even have played this series.

Don't understand why mediocre players like Dhawan,Rohit or Rahane are termed as class players these guys are mediocrities at best but the status they have in India it's disappointing.

Damn you got to feel for windies when every batsman is so hungry to score against them.

Even the West Indies won a test in England. I hope they do the same or even better in India.

This guy was always rated as a hack I think even in 2010s, no one had the gall of thinking of him as a test opener. However that watershed year in 2013 has really benefitted him and fooled everyone.

Thereafter shortcomings were exposed and was dropped and then Lanka happened :hysterical:

And now next up is Windies, can he score another century before lunch

As I mentioned, every cricketer has a die hard fan in a populated country like ours. No wonder every cricketer is termed as classy by each set of fans. When they tour, the class is horribly exposed and the fans sweep the class as temporary lack of form. The only quality batsman in this lineup is Virat Kohli. He has showed that only he has class for batting against all bowling attacks and in all conditions.

Why should the status be dissapointing. Media needs to build superstars, it's their job. Imagine how much lack of superstars will hurt the sponsors, broadcasters, and related businesses. Journalists etc help them by hyping these average cricketers on every home run that is being scored. It is the consumers who need to identify what is good and what is below quality while opting to watch the game of cricket. Sellers will try to sell everything and as much as they can.
