you still need to control the swing otherwise it wont work

You still need to bring the bat in line to hit the ball on flat tracks but no one would make that argument, would they??:giggle:

comparatively it is harder to control the swing when it is moving so much than to lay bat on ball in easy batting condition, a better comparison would be with a pitch where the top is going

Is that an assumption???

On a green wicket batting is 100 % more tougher just like bowling is tough on a flat track. So a wicket is much more likely to come unless you are so incapable even stuart binny is a better bowler than you, in which case you wouldn't make it to the highest level just like a batsman who is not good enough won't make it to the top even for a flat track.

So why the double standards  ???

I dont rate binny's spell in bangladesh as the best ever niether would  i say benstokes taking 6 wickets here makes him a great bowler.

We all saw how english great sir anderson was huffing and puffing in India, when there was no cloud cover and yet he had the audacity to call Kohli out on being a Ftb all the while being nothing else but a green track bully.

Its a batsmen's game i know ......so why not rate shami's perfomances in India a notch above others bullying batsmen on tracks like green pastures??

The ball to rashid, how did he do it. Maintaing seam position even after pitching. Is it by fluke or is it an art. Remember watching Sreesanth do that in that famous Durban win. If  Shami manages to play another 50 tests he might join Kapil Srinath and Zak as the best Indian fast bowlers of all time.

to woakes- Shammi hit the visor at back of helmet and broke it..woakes was lucky that his head back was saved..very next ball, he gifted his wickets to shammi...that's what dangerous bouncers do..i think it was again a right 144k bouncer on the grill of helmet.

Yes

I tried to post as many " setting-up-batsmen "   videos as I could find.

Push them to the back-foot by a bouncer and then bowl a fuller one .... move the ball  away and then bring the ball in or vice versa  .... a mixture of  both these.

Our pacers are using them with more regularity nowadays while bowling at pace.  I hope they set-up batsmen with more frequency.

I dont think anybody can deny that Umesh bowled like a dream in Aus series. He probably bowled the best of his career. But the issue is consistency which was not seen in SL tests. Perhaps he was tired during SL series and needed a break but he was mediocre during that series. Let's see how he comes back the next time he plays.

Umesh bowled consistently well in the NZ and Eng test series too prior to the Aus series. But stats won't reflect that as a lot of catches were dropped off his bowling. So probably he was tired during SL series. Don't know why he is picked for the Aus ODI series. We have better ODI bowlers in Bumrah, Shami and BK. I think he would have been better off playing a few Ranji games to get back in rhythm before the all important SA test series.
