2026 T20 World Cup match threads allocation
Forever Indian replied to Gollum's topic in Cricket Talk
Yes, one day in advance should be good enough. Lets decide who is going to open the remaining match threads and stick to that... -
Even games against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe would be more competitive...

Dear Pakistan, walk the talk, show some balls
Forever Indian replied to jf1gp_1's topic in Cricket Talk
If that happens, it will be the end of Ind vs Pak cricket even in ICC events. Don't think Pak have the balls to do that! -

Lol, how much are Netflix and Amazon Prime going to quote with just an online offering? Seems like Sony can name their price and get the contract... -
Santner wasn't playing for India, was he? Sundar was the best Indian spinner in that NZ home series however you try to twist it! Yes, Jadeja was also exceptional with the bat in England away series but that does not demean what Sundar did and the impact he had. SA series - Gill was captain less than half test, then Pant looked clueless in terms of captaincy. So it tells more about the captain and TM's crap utilisation of resources rather than anything else I agree that at this point only one amongst Jadeja and Sundar should ideally play. But how much longer can a 37 year old Jadeja play with same effectiveness? We need Sundar to continue to be in mix and he is not doing bad at all... You cannot keep chopping and changing, that will never help develop the next generation. We are already seeing that with our batting, where the right batters have not been developed due to constant chopping and changing...

Last 3 test series against SENA this is how Sundar has fared: NZ home: Best spinner taking 16 wickets @14.12 average in just two tests, ahead of Jadeja and Ashwin - https://www.espncricinfo.com/records/series/bowling-most-wickets-career/new-zealand-in-india-test-series-2024-25-16435 Eng Away: Batting average of 47.33 and good allround performance SA home: Top run scorer from India; was hardly given a bowl We are also trying to mix formats similar to what selectors/TM are doing. He is doing his job in tests, but if the TM do not use him well then it may suffer as well. Sundar has the best technique to handle fast bowlers in and against SENA countries. Tests - He should be played as a Batting allrounder at no.6 ODIs and T20Is - If he is played he should be played as Bowling allrounder, bowling atleast 7-8 overs regularly and bat at no.7 or 8.

Is that an Indian player's name? LOL. Do they call him Eden, Apple or Tom?

Good thread. Who all are the key players playing?

Seniority plays a major part in these contract gradings, as one format players like Rohit and Kohli are on A+ grade contracts. Also have seen so many Grade A and B players suddenly without contract in following year because they are no longer in scheme of things. So it all fluctuates and the contract grading happens only once a year, so it's not Black n White...

Historic ODI WC win for Indian women (ODI WC 2025)

Well done. Peaked at right time and Two B2B near perfect matches... -
If Shami is bowling at his usual pace, there is no reason to exclude him just because of age... A lot of Indian bowlers usually reduce speed as they age reducing their effectiveness. Shami meanwhile post his injuries previously was able to maintain his pace of mid to high 130ks. So selectors will have to physically go to the venues he is playing to see how he is bowling...

Even last match Siraj dropped a dolly off him which changed the game...

DLS takes into account a lot of things and prime amongst that is how many wickets were lost at time of rain break. So in this case England were 79/7 in a 50 over game when rain break happened, so had it continued it is very likely they would have been allout for less than 150 in 50 overs game. Now when game gets reduced for both teams and Pakistan is also reduced overs, in order to not disadvantage Pakistan the 150 is reduced to cater to the reduced overs they need to face. Had Engalnd been 79/3 instead of seven down, the score would have been way higher because they had the wickets to end closer to 250 for example. DLS may not be perfect but it is the best of what we have for now. Now that AI is booming Cricket should start using that for these score revisions/predictions.

This is what has been put on Espncricinfo Commentary section: "A fair few messages asking how and why the target is less than England scored? It is because England's innings was wrecked before the rain came, and therefore the loss of overs was actually to their advantage, as they were able to play more aggressively on the resumption, knowing that they didn't have to survive for 25 overs. Had they continued in a 50-over game from 79 for 7, they might well have been bowled out more cheaply."

Ah, you are missing Kohli and Rohit I see!

This guy is a proper allrounder, not bits & pieces as some are. He needs to handled well, and hope Gill keeps belief on him as his premier spinner!
