Should Kohli have played this test even if not 100% fit?

The guy was injured, and it wasn't a minor niggle. You can't go with an unfit player in a 5 day match and it's not for us to speculate whether Kohli could've played through the injury without being privy to all the details.

This is a new low. Everyone talking as if they are the physio and have personally examined the extent of his injury.

Agree . New low. Sad stuff from some so called Indian fans

He himself need to be blamed for misleading people on the previous day presser. He claimed that he might not play if he is not 100% fit. it seemed like he had some niggles, and he will take a call on the next day. Naturally, everybody thought he could have played if he forced himself.  If it was this bad, he could have gone and told everybody that he cannot play for a few weeks and announced Rahane will play as captain.

Bhai, modern day sports and especially the final playing eleven in cricket involves lots of mind games. Everything is not as black and white. Even other teams and especially Aussies resort to mind games. Heck they even have dedicated media to help them in mind games...

Consider whatever happened was part of mind games...

No team wants to give a clear picture to the opposition about its players and playing strategies.

The Indian team management obviously wanted the Australian team to keep guessing about the Indian team composition so that they could not plan in advance and were uncomfortable about it.  Kohli had a ligament tear and most probably had no chance of playing the 4th test.

Mind games are part and parcel of professional sports and in this case, was used well by India.
